GPO's look great.
Hey Dan.. did I tell you I finally found the bolts. Yeah.. side of the toolbox under 90lbs of junk.
Steve, you know you need grommets if you do VC gaskets right? And here's some pics of how all the sets of ZZP VC's I've ever installed, fit in a stock cover.

They fit in the ZZP aluminum cover perfectly, don't seem quite right for the stock cover though.
Thanks Texas
And bill the grommets that go with the bolts right? Also how do the valve cover gasket hold up are they more prone to leaking?
Yeah Bill you told me a while back lol. I find stuff all the time when I'm cleaning the garage haha
I haven't seen an issue with them holding up. Gotta stretch them sometimes to get them to stay in the cover. I've had concerns that if they move or roll during install that they might not seal well. The bolts have sleeves on them so they can't be overtightened. Which makes the grommets a requirement, the grommets apply pressure to hold the valve cover down and seal it.
Grommets can be bought separately from the parts store if you don't receive any of them.
Which...he won't.
Grommets here are around $12, plus the cost of the ZZP gaskets is about what I pay here for VC gaskets w/o discount code, no shipping.
Lmao I know lol he insist on giving ZZP all his monies!
I believe in nicely mentioning that he can save money buying local.
Just saying..I can save more walking into the parts store than buying from even Rockauto.
Same here And avoid rockauto shipping from 6 different warehouses.
Yeah I actually I have the ones on the gtx motor with less then 3, 000 on them I could re-use them, ill figure something I just am waiting on the transmission parts to come in and by next check ill get the converter and tune. Maybe by then I can get some aluminum valve covers and trade the gen v for a set of headers.
Just use regular vc and change them down the road when you have the extra cash. Seriously the last thing I would worry about is some bling bling when the build isn't completed. I know it's not my money but I hope your not stretching the build out longer so you can buy them.
No only if I come by the opportunity of getting them cheap, its not a big worry if I get them or not. I can always paint mine until I get them and just replace them later down the line.
Black Friday would be your best bet on getting them for a decent price
That's what im thinking that or I can find some used ones for cheap
