Go for it, $50 bucs ain't bad. I think on ebay for the aftermarket bumper(non GM) it's around $125 (primed)
Edit: I was wrong, a new OEM is $110
97 03 Pontiac Grand Prix Front Bumper Cover Brand New P N 88893300 | eBay
If you get them for $60, got for it. You got people that can help you weld them up.
Car cut out on me again today still having problems I want to do the lim and coupler figure while I'm doing that clean the supercharger up with a paint color nothing.crazy maybe just sand it down nice but should I do valve covers also I think it might be leaking also really just wanna get this done soon going to see if I can get the money for everything tomorrow I do have something hoping to sell to help keep my grand prix alive when I start doing this would be cool if a few people wanted to stop by and lend a hand will figure out if I.can order the parts let me know if I.should change out the valve covers also
i did my valve cover gaskets when i had my supercharger off
Going to start the tear down tomorrow clean the garage out and pulled the car in found a set of metal lim gaskets but getting all new ones Wednesday hope all goes well
Take your time on the LIM, no rush and remember to wiggle the alt bracket off. Don't pull on it or you will break the timing chain cover. Also clean really good on the elbow holes. Change the oil before starting up so you don't spin a bearing. Post pics of progress also, good luck Steve.
I have done many small block V8 intakes, they are easy LOL, the LIM on mine made me nervous, but once I got it torn apart and clean/ painted it was a breeze, you got this bro.
Yeah took apart a 4.0 straight 6 the other day to put a header and gasket on was easy for most part took pictures ill put them up here in a sec
LOL, I used to be a Jeep tech, I have done countless header replacements on those, they are too easy. Everything is on one side HAHA.
The new
Everything off
The old with 2 huge cracks
Going in
Cleaning up a little before going on
Almost all together
All done and sounds a lot better was fun doing this on my moms bf 94 jeep Cherokee
My buddy who is also a big time Jeep tech said that if you put the intake off of a 98 4.0 onto a 94/95 4.0 it adds 30 HP, not sure he was telling the truth, but there are design changes between the older intakes and the newer ones, just something to think about, job looks good, those stock exhaust manifolds always crack at the Y's.
