Somebody had more dollar than cents.

Well I wouldn't say soldier. I could get a house but nope. I like waking up 20 minutes before work and being able to shave get dressed smoke and walk there in that time. BTW I outright own the truck so now I cam build my savings back up easily again. And mod the truck. I don't pay for food unless I eat out. And now I can cam the GXP. (Only two people here know how close to that I am. Only a few more things needed). I still need to finish tuning what's done to the car now

Wow. We honestly don't make ****. I make an extra 500-1000 out side the service doing side jobs. A single service member with 4 years service done makes less than 25k a year after taxes. Just an FYI. I mean now that I've been places and done things. Imagine a USA without military. Working 60ish hours a week and lots of weekends. It's underpaid in my opinion. Texas can vouch.

Lol my when my dad was in the air force he was married and his wife worked 2 jobs and they had a mobile home and a few cars. Yeah the service never pays all that much. But the skils you learn there plus the discipline helps out in the real world

I know how much you can make, had family in it. Just saying in general, without me/other working, you wouldn't have a pay and I know that sounds bad. It's easy to strike a nerve saying that. I just see someone in the military with nice things and can't help but say I helped with part of that.

Without going deep into the topic, if the US had a few brain cells they would figure out smarter spending and be able to give a better pay.

I agree. And am honestly content with what I make. But honestly this 15 dollar minimum wage BS pisses me off. I mean fast food workers. They don't need 15 an hour.

But yea, I do save up for nice things. This truck has been awhile of saving and planning for.

Dude the majority of your taxes get laundered through congressional paychecks and private contractors. The soldier barley gets paid jack ****. Let's not leave out the fact that WE GET TAXED TOO! An we are subject to all the same b.s a civilian is. Next time you make that statement think about the fact that we pay into the pie just as much as you.

still dont change the fact that the military gets paid by our tax dollars. your salary is paid by the people....our civilian pay checks are not. so we still pay you guys no matter how you word it, or slice it up.

the path of our tax dollars has nothing to do with it. even if it trickles down to you poor guys who do all the work out there. you get paid by tax dollars, end of story.

little fact, the US government is the largest employer in the country. second is walmart. thats one hell of a lot of pay checks aint it?

the government also takes over 1/2 the fuel produced here in the US as well.

also want to say, im not complaining. dirtdog clearly worked and saved his money up. so if he wants a new truck, let him have it. hes earned a treat protecting all our freedoms.

and damn, thats a nice truck. im not a dodge fan, but thats a mean looking ride all the same.

is that a cardboard cut out of the dimensions of the trunk, with the box at the back? if so, you made a template.

or is that a wood cut out for the floor, hard to tell cant see the edges. either way its moving along.

It's 1/2" MDF board for the flooring. And 3/4" MDF for the sub box I built.
I'm gonna carpet it tomorrow and put the batteries in the wheel well.
