It turned out to be way more work than expected - I did it in July this summer. I still had to work 4-6 days a week and everyone at work gave me **** for driving it around when I was only half done because of all the bondo spots and sanding done to it. It looked pretty bad, but the finished result turned out great. I also tinted the windows during the painting time. The whole thing took me around two or three weeks.
Car before the paint job. The body did not need painted, I just didn't like the color and the lady that had the car before be used lime green touch up paint on the rust spots and it made it look like ****.
Fixing all the rock chips and dents with bondo.
Had to remove that stupid pinstripe
I did the hood first to test it because I have never painted a car before.
My home-made "paint-booth".
I thought about just keeping the car this color at first - I kinda liked it lol
This is with around 2-3 coats, I forget - But I haven't tinted the windows yet in this pic
Taillights before...
Taillights after... I loved the results. I even waxed them to make them super smooth. (I clear-coated them too)
I got the back windows tinted in this picture.
Here is a picture with all the windows tinted. I love the looks I get lol
Car tinted inside my shop. The paint looks kinda purple due to the lighting but it is actually Matte Black.
I tried to disguise my license plates but unfortunately it is against the law.... I thought I did a good job on them though
Here are my rims. I used Plastic-Dip on them and it turned out amazing - way better than expected
