It turned out to be way more work than expected - I did it in July this summer. I still had to work 4-6 days a week and everyone at work gave me **** for driving it around when I was only half done because of all the bondo spots and sanding done to it. It looked pretty bad, but the finished result turned out great. I also tinted the windows during the painting time. The whole thing took me around two or three weeks.

Car before the paint job. The body did not need painted, I just didn't like the color and the lady that had the car before be used lime green touch up paint on the rust spots and it made it look like ****.

Fixing all the rock chips and dents with bondo.

Had to remove that stupid pinstripe

I did the hood first to test it because I have never painted a car before.

    My home-made "paint-booth".

I thought about just keeping the car this color at first - I kinda liked it lol

This is with around 2-3 coats, I forget - But I haven't tinted the windows yet in this pic

    Taillights before...

Taillights after... I loved the results. I even waxed them to make them super smooth. (I clear-coated them too)

I got the back windows tinted in this picture.

Here is a picture with all the windows tinted. I love the looks I get lol

Car tinted inside my shop. The paint looks kinda purple due to the lighting but it is actually Matte Black.

I tried to disguise my license plates but unfortunately it is against the law.... I thought I did a good job on them though

Here are my rims. I used Plastic-Dip on them and it turned out amazing - way better than expected

Nice ride! Definately unique because I have never seen a matte black gp. Any plans for it?

My goal was for the unique look, which I think I mastered. I also have a few out things I did to the car to make it unique. I'll see if I can find if I have pictures.

Whenever I get home (I think I'm heading home on Christmas) - I will post that build log. It goes to my system in the trunk. The rocker switches each turn on a different amp so I can listen to just bass(for testing), or just music(if I see cops the bass cuts off), and my volt meter that you can see pictured, and also my trunk lights

EDIT: you can see my bass knob controller in the 3rd pic in front of my shifter

Didn't think about that, I may do that - although the white you see on it in the pictures is no longer there, that was wax from before I painted my car.

haha everyone seems to laugh when I say this.

I actually used tractor paint which is around $30 a gallon, added reducer to it (around $20), and added hardener (around $15). The paint is MUCH harder than regular paint. It is pretty hard to scratch it. I added extra hardener to it and it has about 5 thick coats.

Most people expect paintjobs to be thousands of dollars but this cost me around $150 and that included the air gun, all the sandpaper (like 30 different grits), the sander, and the paint.

    Also the experience: priceless
I was bitching myself out the whole time for even starting it but after it was done was totally worth it.
