Honestly I don't know if I need anything done. I am just second guessing how well my valves are seated. I removed the old valves when I cleaned the heads and did the port work. Then cleaned and installed the old intake valves that looked like new, and some brand new exhaust valves. I guess I just need to find out of I need a "valve job" or lap the valves.. Honestly I don't know much when it comes to this, if it would be needed, or anything. I just figured I would take them to a performance shop and get them checked out. Got any insight I may find useful?

"bad" valve sealing is extremely bad looking... Hold a flashlight in the port and if you can read a book on the other side of the valve you are in rough shape, lol.
You can lap your own valves easily. You just need to suction cup a stick to the bottom of the valve then spin it with some lapping compound on the seat if you want a real 'good' valve seat interference. "valvejobs" are more for people with ported heads looking for more flow.

Did some thinking and have decided to go a different direction with my exhaust setup. It will be much louder, but easier. I have decided to ditch the full size muffler idea completely and will be going with dual glass packs. I had a 12" glasspack laying around so I cut it in half and will be making dual 2.5"x6" glasspacks on each tail pipe right before the resonated corvette tips.

The downpipe, Y pipe, and glasspacks will be painted flat black header paint. The headers and corvette tips will stay chrome finish.
I also added a couple things to the motor and just finished the first coat of Chevrolet Orange-Red paint code DE-1607.

Kinda suprising you actually rigged up those two glasspacks considering how cheap they are to just buy new ones. Especially in that size. That colour looks like it'll be nice though.
By the way are you still running the Air Filter down by that small vent? A buddy of mine who works for ZZP is working on a fiero project for himself right now and I mentioned that to him and he said that its actually a really bad idea as it isnt a big enough vent and it really restricts airflow.

The glasspacks I made are not manufactured in that size by anyone that I could find. nearest thing that I know if is Cherry Bomb 8", and they are 39.95 each. Besides, why not do what I did that is structurally the exact same, free of any cost to me, and took very little time to do while I was at work :)
As far as that port being too small, I would say that is highly debatable. Every 3800 Fiero I have seen sucks air from there. Half of which use smaller plumbing then what I have, thanks for the input though!
On another note I finished what will probably be my final coat of paint on the motor, and couldnt resist doing another mock-up!

the hole on the side of the fiero is small, but it is open underneath.

I just sat there and stared at it for like 30 minutes when I put it together... looks just like I wanted it to (minus polished blower and LIM).
On a separate note, I found a old picture on Facebook of the Grand Am I mentioned in the original post. Sadly it is not much of a picture, but it is all I have to remind me of all those good memories. I took this picture in what I believe was 2009, just to send to the cars owner (my friend Ray) to show him how much snow had drifted into it LOL

That motor looks gorgeous.
Re: Build Thread: The Fiero from Hell! Last update 1/21/2013
Wow that looks damn good man. And you're right about the glasspacks the smallest they make I think is those 8" ones. Ive got one of those, I was thinking it was 6" for some reason.
As far as the airflow thing goes I was just going by what he said they saw on the dyno after comparing between that and slapping it right on the throttlebody. I thought it seemed like a better idea to have it down there too.
