    Just joined

Got a 2006 GXP and also new to the wbody, first one.

Since this is the DD I am going to lay off major performance mods................... for now

Looking into a tranny cooler but don't know where one would fit?

    CAI and exhaust next spring

This winter will be getting tint prob 20% all the way around and new headlights

Also I am not into all the blingyness that the car has so I am going to tone it down and black the car out a little bit.

Already took the badges off the rear and going to get either just a GXP badge or an LS4 badge for the ass.

Ive been medicating with burnouts and alcohol

You could always buy a new set of black wheels or paint those ones black. I know you could probably sell those on the car now quickly, people buy those wheels all the time around me.

An intake is super easy to make. Here is the write-up for the one I made for my 2001. You can do the same thing, just make sure you incorporate the appropriate 04+ sensors into the intake.

^^^ looks like a good project.

Yeah still thinking about the wheels, there is some bad curb rash on the one too
if i were to paint them i will prob use plasidip or wrap them in vinyl. I would not want it to be permanent

Trans coolers are easy if you remove the bumper, just depends on size you get.

retros are gonna cost you the same and you have to build them yourself, not low light output if you put some 35w HIDs in them

projectors are a must, and the light output of spyders with HIDs is very good plus you put HIDs in the fogs and your all set

Not all aftermarket projectors are built the same.

You have a 97-03. The 'Spyder' brand Projects have an okay projector in them, definitely a slight upgrade from stock.

The aftermarket projector headlights available for 04+ cars not only look terrible, but the output created from the projector is terrible.

At the end of the day, a retrofitted headlight will output better then any aftermarket headlight available for both 97-03 and 04+. It's just up to you on whether or not you want to invest your time into making a retrofit set or if you're okay with the output from readily available ebay headlights.

04+ aftermarket headlights are WORSE than 97-03 stock headlights.. however, 04+ aftermarket taillights can be awesome sauce.
