I have seen one of these cars close up, and the thought of going even 40mph is scary. You have to remember its pretty much a soup can with wheels. It does not have the technology in design that the more modern smart car has. Without MAJOR modification to the suspension and braking and even structural systems your literaly toying with death. Not to mention the vehicle value will go down... just sayin

yeah its kinda a glorified go cart. lol

if it were mine, i dont think it would ever see highway use unless it was on a trailer. i dont think they were built to go over 40 ish. seen a few on some TV shows in the past.

all the same it be cool to fix one up and own it.

the title part is the only thing that would be scaring me at this point. as it really dont look too rotted out.

and if your looking to retain what ever value this little car has, id be trying to re use the stock engine. its a air cooled bike engine, 2 stroke too i bet, it could be a easy rebuild i bet.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

So I'm confused. If this right now sits on property owned by your fiancee's parents, why do you need to contact the previous owner?

Or is this just near when your fiancee's parents live and you are going to go take it because you are guessing no one is alive anymore?

Well even if her dad did own the land would still have to do it for the title but found out he only owned some of the land that person used to own apparently found out from someone that "the person who owns the land already has plans to restore that one and have another one" and courtney (fiancee) said she's known that guy since she was a little girl and he's never been that dismissive about anything... also after pestering her dad found out that the people who own the abandoned farm portion are not strapped for cash by any means and aren't looking to sell anything.... people are being too dismissive about this land and I don't know why. So i'm going to see if anyone is living on this car and try to get the title directly so that I can present it to the current land owners and say **** you ***** this car is mine. But like my fiancee said there's something strange going on with this because her entire life living In the town she can't recall ever seeing a car like that so the line about the owner already having another is total bull****. I think this family is just very scary to the town or something.... but if they have the cash why hasn't it been done already..... i'm not letting anything get in my way... this family doesn't scare me I want this car. Its a rare piece of history that deserves preservation. That is why i've decided when I get it its staying all original except the modification of adding a radio and speakers because I can't live without my music when I drive lol.

    I was kidding.

    I got it.

Seems like something I wouldn't waste my time on, but that's me. Especially with the issue of tracking down the owner(s), legal issues, title, etc.

    I'd get another project.
