Buy it back, it's still a good car. Has some dings but still a good car. At the very least you can part it out and get an SSEi.

Guys..he said the floor pan of the trunk is bent. There is no seperate frame on these cars. That's a serious hit. Bonnie's are strong cars and often don't show the true damage.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    *Blows dust off*

Well well, it's been a while since I put anything up in this thread. But any who, as an update to the story of Penny. She's still kicking. I haven't done much to her. Removed the 5000k 9006's in favor of some Silverstars. Tuned her a little bit. Just basics. MAF, some KR removal. Still not perfect, but I'll finish that up in the spring. She's got new speakers all around. Not doing much else. I'm saving up for a stick LT-1 T/A or a Buick Riviera. Penny is just having DD duty for now, and she does it well. Took her for a little spin tonight, it's almost 10 degrees here and she was pulling like crazy. She even had a little surprise for me. Mind you this video is on dry ground.. Lol

Not bad for N/A. She's never done that before. Excuse the creeper laugh at the end. It's been a while since we had a date.

FINALLY FINISHED IT. It's not perfect by any means, but I think I did good for a first time retrofitter. They could be aimed just a touch better. But I don't care at this point. I may just stack something under the passenger headlight to even it out. Whatever. I'm just so happy it's done. And it truly is amazing at night. Here are some shots of it.

    Got some output shots too.
    Low Beams:

    Low beams with fog lights:

My Quad high beams, I have HIRs in the factory high beam buckets:

This quad high beam setup is ridiculous. I can't wait to be burning all the improper HID ricer people.

    Dat rainbow flickery cutoff goodness.

My lower valence was the same way but in red zip ties. I finally got a new one after it had over 100 zip ties... and missing parts of it. So thoughts on retros?

Retros are the bees knees. I love it. It's so nice to drive with in pitch black darkness. No hot spots. Just glorious and even light. I went with Morimoto Mini H1s with the 35 watt ballasts and 5000k bulbs. I got high beam splitters so I could use my old high beams with the bixenon function of the Minis.

I really wish we had the like buttons back. But yeah I agree with it as a solid even beam. However something is jacked up with my passenger one as light output is like 30%, and the cutoff isn't the issue. But it seems like you went with everything that suits perfectly.

I was changing my oil today and noticed this.

Is my axle FUBAR? Is this a huge problem or a troublesome fix?

I'm trying to turbo this thing and I need to sort out all the dumb things wrong with it first.

Looks like the trans output shaft seal is leaking, see it alot.

A new GM seal should fix it, clean it up nice.

    Alright. Thanks for the reply.

Is this something I could leave for a little longer? My trans fluid level is still at normal. And the car doesn't leave spots. So it must be a slow leak.

Yea it'll be alright for a while. But get that seal changed out sooner than later. Shouldnt be too hard. A heel bar would probably work to pull the seal out.
Or a puller like this that hooks on the inside edge of the seal. Then you just smack the other end with a hammer to pull it out.

As far as the retro, looks good. Output looks nice. Glad to see more and more guys are choosing the retro method over blinding people.
And the bumper is ballin' for sure. I dig it.

Thanks for the advice Marofan. I'll worry about getting it done once it gets consistently warm.

And yeah, I love seeing the blinding HID people coming at me down the road. They get a good dose of my quad high beam set up.

As much as I love the bumper, I am trying to find a place to paint my spare black cover and hood this summer.

If you have spare headlights, just take your time. Retrofitting isn't hard so much as it is time consuming. I've done three now.
