limiting my self to 11.5psi of boost, if I had to guess ( I could be so far off its funny) I would guess 350-400. After the trans build this setup made 600 on 22psi with stage 3 heads. I plan on getting a set of Stage 4 heads, an ST5 cam and running e85 ill just turn it up until I cant go any higher!
Damn!!!!! that's where I want to be 350-400 and I'm str8

350 you can get on the blower with a 2.8 supporting mods and a xp/nic cam. 400 is... iffy. Going to need heads, xpz 2.8, supporting
I have a 08, I got with over kill abt tuning my pcm and he says it's a 50/50 if he can tune it. So I gave up on it

Its transmission rebuild time! I was debating on weather I should go and drop ~5000 on a TEP rebuild (That includes stuff like the 1in GMR chain and gear set), or do what Frosty and I do best and DIY it. Well, I decided lets DIY it since I have a connection who can get my a 04+ 4t65E cheap cheap cheap. So I will keep this post very up to date as to what is happening with the rebuild.
There is a ~98 4t65e in my garage that will be used as a parts trans in case I need something I dont have.
I am buying an 04+ 4t65e which will be the beast in the Turbo GP.
Planned build
1in GMR Chain
300M
Master Overhaul
Upgraded 3rd
As close to a TEP HP Trans I can get!
Will keep updated on the success or utter fail this may be!
Damn.i can't wait
Waiting on new trans, in the mean time I got my hands on the ATSG manuals for our cars and a full rebuild video and am familiarizing my self with the magic that is the 4t65e internals. Recommend these resources to anyone looking to DIY this because frankly. Your screwed without it.
Going to buy 1000+ baggies for all the parts and stuff to stay organized and yeah. well see how this goes!
Post pictures
I will when there are pictures to be posted :P
Well, just did some general work tomorrow, fixed a leaky front manifold, moved an O2 bung because it was rubbing on the master cyl. and we installed an AEM Ethanol fuel pump!! Frost and I have a real treat coming up for the 04+ guys here in the next week or so. It involves an easy way to get an adjustable regulator in your fuel system! Will update with how things go.
for now, picture time!
Hmm, this looks pretty. WELD!
Still pretty... GRIND
So backstory on this one. We had to reweld a new bung becuase the one that is being ground on in this picture is too close to the master cyl. and rubs all over it like its trying to dry hump it dead. Very unpleasant. We welded a new one but coulnd find a good way to plug this one. Spark plug non fouler + weld + grind = good plug!
More weldy weld.
Transmission update:
Waiting on a reply from Dave @ Tep for parts. Found a few transmission candidates around town here. Not too much new for now. Just collecting lots of money at this point.
Ordered a stage 2 complete kit from TEP with a channel plate.
The transmission build can be found at:
