Thanks! I ended up at xpress lube in knightdale, cool guys there. They had to inspect it with half of it sticking out the garage because I was scraping the metal tracks lol.

You think an AWD car is going to be better on Fuel?

    ROFL???????????????????????????????????

Since when is the GP not a winter beast?

    But its your car.

I guess I didn't type what I meant, it sounded good in my head haha. Its either an awd car or if I get another fwd, it needs to be better on gas, I just have to choose one or the other. And its a winter beast where I live right now haha, we get hardly any snow. But I'm hoping to go to appalachian and im not sure how good it would be in a lot of snow up in the mountains with a bunch of hills and stuff?

A 23-26 avg is pretty good if you ask me for a GP.

And if you only have to go home once a month and spend that extra $20 in fuel is it really worth it?

I plow through snow storms here, avg winter is over 50in of snow for sure.

my scoob gets about 26 mpg with mixed city/highway. if i drive straight highway i get 32ish. remember i am not turbocharged, those models get worse MPG by a good margin.

A good running unmolested GP should get upwards of 30 on the highway, I used to. City mileage should be about 18 which is what I'm getting now.

Where he lives snow doesnt matter. He has to worry about ice more then snow. So the AWD makes sense for ice. and @ bio- around here a nice subaru cant be found for less then 13-15K. Everything in NC(triad area) is so marked up.

I have a little bit saved up and then whatever I could squeeze out of the gp is how much money i have to play with. I was thinking about a subaru, i think the wagons are pretty cool.

right now on craigslist theres an 03 wrx wagon with 127k for 6000, a 04 wrx wagon with 145k for 6500 (don't know about this one), a 2000 legacy gt limited with 161k for 6500, and an 04 legacy gt with 120k for 7000. everything else is newer and out of my price range like you guys said

Nope, I still have the car. I took a trip up to the mountains to see the campus and a lot of students had gp's so that made me feel a little better. But I have some other plans for the car that I needed to sell the coilovers for

    YES! YES YES YES YES!

what setup is it? if i were you, i would modify the struts while you have the chance to give yourself another inch or so of static drop. move the lower mount up an inch.

YES! Im so excited to get it installed! Its an airlift kit with a new tank and a few extras. And they seem way shorter than the coilovers, how high up do you think ride height would be without modifying them?

I took out one of the struts
