jeff's car could have been so much lower with the right tweaks. the lower mount on his struts was already moved up (like i mentioned a little while back), too.

and you wouldn't want to drive the car around that low. you wouldn't be able to take it anywhere.

well I got a relpy from BC saying that they are unfamiliar with gp's, they have no knowledge of something that might fit, and they don't plan on making anything for the gp. So I'm waiting to see what stance has to say.

I'm just curious, but how would someone go about moving the mounts up? The coil sleeves seem to rest on the bottom mount where the metal brackets go all the way around the strut housing. I'm guessing that someone would have to move that up as well so that the sleeve would have something to rest on? And I've heard of people getting a ~2 inch section removed from the middle of the strut to shorten it more than I've see someone move the brackets. What are your thoughts on that?

In the mean time, I have a nasty sounding a/c blower that I have to fix. It sounds like the fan gets unbalanced or something when I turn it on or it might just be a bad bearing. either way its super loud and its getting to the point here where I almost can't take riding windows down because its so hot out.

you'd have to cut a section out of the sleeve as well so that it would be shorter. it will still have to butt up to the lower mount.

well saturday was my birthday and I got a little bit of money from my parents but I can't decide what to spend it on though. A few things that I've been considering are new mufflers with single tips, a quick release steering wheel/hub assembly since my radio controls just died, gen 2 spoiler, or grit my teeth and take a chance on a roof spoiler.

I eventually want to get all of them, but I can only afford one thing right now and they're all about the same price

Happy Birthday..out of those chooses...mufflers w/ new tips . Quick release steering wheel on a gp is useless unless racekar! Roof spoiler is bet for imports...get a new spoiler if anything . Love the stance though

I think it might look pretty cool, the only ones I've seen with them is the Pace Cars with the lights on them, and that was just odd, but just as a spoiler it might not be too bad.

Rear window roof spoiler for 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix 2 door coupe models. Give your Pontiac Grand Prix that distinctive, yet elegant appearance with this roof spoiler wing. Made with high quality, hand laid fiberglass. This spoiler comes unpainted with a smooth gel coat finish.
Available for all 1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix two door coupe models.
I would like to know EXACTLY what the difference is between the 2 doors and 4 doors. Wheel base is the same, length, width, height... the only difference is the way the body is made to house 4 / 2 doors. Front and Rear windshields are the same even, so why wouldn't it work between them??? The only difference between the rear windshield of a 2 or 4 door is whether or not the early models had the antenna built onto it lol.

there is no difference between roof length and rear glass and the windshields on a coupe and sedan, my roof rails are off a sedan and fir perfectly on my coupe and rear glass and windshields are the same on both

Well I haven't been on here in a while, I've been pretty busy with work and school about to start. I apologize in advanced for people clicking this expecting a decent update, or any update for that matter haha, I haven't done anything to the car since my last post except drive all over town to get it inspected with that freaking tint Anyway, new school plans and hopes of transferring to a school in the mountains has me considering other cars, maybe something awd if I'm lucky but really just something better on gas because it would be about 3 1/2 hours from home. I wanted to get some opinions from you guys and give everyone here first dibs over people on craigslist, I know it would be in better hands with someone on here. But I don't know what to ask for it and I'm also back and forth between keeping it as is or demodding. So if anyone has any input, I'd really appreciate it. And this isn't an actual for sale post just yet, I'm just trying to see if anyone is even interested and if its a smart decision based on what a reasonable asking price would be.

    Just a refresher

    body has 126,xxx
    new engine with 25,xxx
    replaced radiator last summer
replaced a/c compressor this past spring
    new a/c blower
coilover suspension with extra pair of 300 springs
    xxr wheels
    new goodyear eagle II tires
    JL w3 sub
    mtx amp
infinity kapa door and deck speakers
alpine head unit w/ steering wheel controls (that work when they feel like it)
Don't know how you feel about the black fender, at least theres no dents in it
could use vinny spacers and stiffer springs or raised up 1/2 inch but handles and drives good
and I'll have no use for the stock suspension/wheels so that can be included too

black fender is kinda novelty, but at the end of the day it does kind of make the car look trashy/cheap.

glad to get an update though
