Well I had the car all back together quit a while ago . Drove it very nicely with this other engine in it . I got a total of 674 miles out of that motor. So I get to do it all over again. The joy of owning a Grand Prix .
But I have a question these motors are externally balanced . Therefor taking the flex plate of and putting it back on incorrectly would un blance the motor and put stress on the bearing .

Now I've been using my touqe converter off of my gt for bothe these motors that have blown on me . I had to switch the flex plates to the one that was once on my gt motor because the motor and tranny didn't have a tourqe converter . I made sure the weight was in the same place with the other flywheel

Now here's my question I searched and couldn't did a definite answer but are the gt and Gtp fly wheel the same weight? I know the weights are In the same place and looked identical in size . Could this be my stupid little mistake?

Any information will be greatly appreciated

I guess what I'm asking is . Is that the reason I keep going through motors. Am I upsetting the balance just enough ?

Nice ride but for all the money you put in to it already, what's another 2k to get the seats done in leather and get and the carpeting replaced. The seat covers do look tacky

Buddy you are rolling in cash if you can get your car looking like that, get the leather seating and ad some new carpeting while you are at it

I took seat covers off a long time ago . And they are just stock black ones for now . I appreciate the advise man and I did all the work myself and seat wrapping is not my cup of tea.

The black seats will work great, must look very sharp. A nice touch would of been GTP on the seats in red

Well if its not so I got a motor in this car and decided . I'm done .

I'm selling the car and getting something else. You guys think 3500 for this car is a good starting price ? I mean mice will chew the price down some .

Also as an update I'm picking up a 04 Gto automatic with 62k on it for 6000 Wednesday . I really wanted a Manuel 05 or 06 but for the price I couldn't pass this up .there is seriously absolutely nothing wrong with the car.

A manual in the goat would be nice but from what I heard is that all the people with the 04 goats love em and all the guys with the 05-06 ones wish they had the 04. So hey sounds like an amazing deal to me
