It is a good engine, upkeep and maintenance on it is kind of a pain though. Timing belt needs changed every 60k miles alt requires removal of subframe iirc. Look around on 60*v6.com lots of info there oh and also milzy motorsports if you ever need work done on the car do not take it in to a shop they will rape you in labor costs. Iirc $600+ for alternator replacement. $600+ for fixing the oil leak from the oil output shift plug.

Well its been sitting for about 2years, when he parked it, it ran good, it has 90k on it, and if i got it i planed on doing the timeing belt, and all fluids because its sat solong. But i thought it would be a good dd while i do the mods i wanted on my gtp!

Get it, just keep it running til you get done with the 99, then fix it a little and resell for profit!!!

Can you still see your tail lights? They look pretty good...could use some wet sanding though.

    They dont look very glossy.

Wet sand them with 2000 grit paper, and use lots of rubbing compound to get it out.

I used, Meguiars Ultimate Compound x2, Meguiars ScratchX x2, Cleaner Wax x2, then a week later used some wax again. Take your time, and yes your arm will be sore when done, but when done properly, it will come out like glass. Here's mine for reference I did the other week:

'97 GTP - Stage 2 Heads, 90# Springs, 1.9 Harland Sharp Rockers, Gen V, 3.0, Intake, N* TB, LQ4, FSIC, 10.5mm Wires, Poly Mounts, SLP Headers, Borla Exaust, Built Trans - SOLD*

    '08 G8 GT - 6.7L 408CI Stroker, 239/254 Cam, Fast Intake, 102mm TB, CAI, Full Exhaust.

    Lies!!!

Take pics or I call shenanigans.

and clean the car before pics.

Its amazing what some wet sanding, and polishing will do... but a good buffer takes the pain out of it.

I think you should pray the middle black and leave the lip polished (If the lips aren't all hacked up).

The clear is comeing off the lip so i was going to sand them, then paint the lip blue, then have the centers painted black or the same color. But idk yet, i do like the look though.
