Get on IWSTI or NASIOC and research it if you don't believe me, you don't need a turbo timer. If you want one then get one, but you don't need it and would be better off saving the money for a turboback. You can let your car idle for 30 seconds after and autocross run and it'll be fine.

im not modding the car mechanically til its paid off unless its a catback or "safety" mods.

im thinking front lip or roof spoiler.

Catbacks by themselves are fine without a tune but I hope you aren't planning on doing anything with the downpipe without a tune. Boost creep to the max, yo.

exactly why i would go with a catback and not a turboback. im not getting into tuning or anything til its paid off.

    im really wanting it...

i honestly wouldnt even put a catback on without a tune. and seriously, find someone in your area who open source tunes. accessports are for ****ing morons.

Technically a catback is fine, but I would also be wary of running a full catback without a tune. Axleback, no problem, catback can be done bu at that point an axleack might be a better choice anyhow (if it's just sound you're after).

I've really come to like my accessport but the best decent tuner around me is 4 hours away so I don't have much of a choice. Some day I'll buy a tactrix cable and learn to tune for myself. Some of the features it has are nice, too. I was actually thinking about getting a protune and having them load the maps on my accessport so that I can still switch stuff around.

You could take that route, but I got mine on eBay for about half the cost of that one and I've been very happy with it, it's still polyurethane as well.

i have a tactrix cable and ive logged my car a few times already. no reason to tune it since it will still be just as slow, but it's given me the ability to change the DBW mapping for the better as well as check engine codes and stuff. my car is notorious for the P0420 for no damn reason.

i agree with the ebay lip. ive got a $60 ebay lip too. i've folded mine under the car a couple times, hit numerous things with it, and ripped the screws out like 23 times. its got one crack in it that im going to zip tie stitch together and next year im going to actually put it back on with nuts/bolts so i cant rip it off so easily. i also wont be so low as to hit everything with it though, so that might be my saving grace.

I've been running without a front plate since I got the car. Cops don't really bother with it.
