Got some more work done on my rims today at work. I primed (2 coats) then painted (2 coats). The rim looks great, still debating painting the "Pontiac" on the spoke gold. I have color matched touch up paint to try this. I also need to put my grill badge on, but it's raining and slightly chilly here. Thankfully, the shop we have at work is heated.
Primed, 2 coats
Paint, 1st coat
Paint, 2nd coat
This Gold GTP grill badge should look better on my car than the red one.
The nice heated shop that the Army has for me to paint rims in, Fvck Yea.

It's going to look good with the gold good job. Seeing them now I would say screw painting the letters you don't want to have to repaint them if it doesn't pan out. Instead have some center inlays made.
Painting rims is not hard, I have done many RV rims and one set on my 90 mustang. Just take the rims off though. In thought I wanted either silver, black or gunmetal/ graphite. Went with the graphite rim paint cause that's all Orileys had. Black is good only on certain cars now. Silver is too stock for my ride.
Thank you Sir, yeah I really want to and not want too paint the letters, they are so small and trying to steady my hand inside the letters without fvcking up is my main concern. Yes, I am going to find time to get ahold of Reflective Concepts for some sort of center cap inlay.
Just wondering, should I clear coat them?
The paint looks to good to be rattle canned. Great job. When does the other rim come in ?
Factory New Finish!!.. Great job.
I wouldn't paint the letters, the relief will give them enough contrast, subtle low key like.
Looks like VHT makes some specific clear-coat wheel paint, thats what I'ld probably end up using if I was to be in your position.
Make sure nobody messes with those bags of cement while your wheels are drying.
LOL, The guys I work with said the same thing after the second coat. Being a family man and having to do things for cheap, I have rattle canned a lot of things. The last rim will come in between the 12th and 19th of Feb.
Thanks, yeah I am still up in the air about the gold lettering. As for clear, duplicolor makes some rim specific clear that I'm going to use. I used duplicolor rim paint, so the duplicolor clear should work well.
The main reason I think it turned out so well is that I used rim specific paint and also I used a can grip sprayer. here are some pics of what I used.
Paint, Graphite
Can Handle for more control and less finger fatigue (lol at finger fatigue)

I think the clear will set it off just right. I mean it is somewhat shiny right now, but I want that "Hey motherfvcker" look at my shiny sh1t effect.
That looks amazing, I love that look, may have to redo my wheels in that color. Its dark enough to not be a factory silver color but not black. Hate the silver/black theme, its over played so I want something different, this is amazing.
That gun is awesome too, I have one, best couple bucks I ever spent, the different it makes is incredible.
