Well, after a few tense moments and some swears later.. here she is.. 5 button DIC upgrade
(sorry for crappy pics, was a passenger at the time, will get better ones later)
using all of $5 in materials i was able to get both of them running simultaneously. The 3button is buried in the dash, still counting away, and the 5button is in the front, showing 115000 LESS KM lol.. but im hoping some day to have it reprogrammed, but this is the cheapest best solution!
(i took a ton of pics along the way, thinking of doing a write up)
To all the fellas out there with ladies to impress
It's easy to do just follow these steps:
1, Cut a hole in a box
2, Put your junk in that box
3, Make her open the box
And that's the way you do it!
It's my DIC in a box!!!
My DIC in a box baby!!
holy ****....winner. thats freaking awsome
DIC in a box lmfao

the old one still counts the mileage too. this way for resale im not trying to scam km's also for any kind of servicing where they need my proper mileage
well thats dumb, good for you being smart enough to leave the old one in there,
you know they can see the org. mileage with scaner through the obd port..but either way it works
i got my test panel finished today, gotta still compare it to the car, but off hand it looks IDENTICAL!!!
Started with this:
sanded that with 400/800 just to scuff.. then self etch prime, then fill primer (will be using the fill only when i do the spoiler since its just plastic)
then used my fancy rattle can of paint, then clear.. then wet sanded 1000/2000/3000 then buffed it with Meguiar's ultimate compound... to end up with THIS
(that is ceiling texture, the paint looks FLAWLESS)
after getting all this damn tape crap off the spoiler i was able to wet sand the top..

Before:
After wet sand:
Gonna keep updating as I do more...
finished product will be worth it!
