Debating on if I want to put them on now or wait until spring. I hose the car/underbody (what's exposed anyhow, which isn't much does tot he undercoating and skidplates that cover basically everything except the driveshaft/exhaust) off and spray the wheel wells out every time the car gets salt on it. Since they're stainless steel bodies I'm not worried about them corroding, i just don't know if I want to deal with installing them right now. I need to do something about my clunking struts though.
yeah, wait. alignments cost money.
honestly, i wont lie. the first time you put them on slam the hell out of them lower the car, take a picture. then raise them up to where you want them. enjoy.![]()
My Blizzaks are getting chewed up on the inside rears just like my summer tires did. I really don't want them to get messed up so I need an alignment anyhow. I'd rather only pay for it once, that's why I'm thinking of putting them on now.
And I'll do that for you Bio. Maybe I'll take the helper springs out and really slam it.
if you need alignment then throw them on. cant wait for super slammed pics.
Still haven't decided what to do about the coils, I've been trying to drive the car less though. Staying at school between my 11:30 and 5:30 classes twice a week makes a huge difference instead driving to school and back home twice in a day. Changed my work schedule up some as well, still getting 40-50 hours total, but in 5 days instead of 6.bIf I could eliminate the car wash and get full time at Advance Auto that would work out nicely since I'd make more and be closer to home. No full time positions are open currently though.
I've also started tho think about changing the calipers, intake manifold, horns and other pieces to candy blue from the current red/gold setup. Either candy blue or candy green. The Blue/green flake in the paint might come out a little more that way. Green on black is too Ken Block/Monster-ish though, so I'm not sure.
Something like this:
Acura TL-S calipers but close enough, Brembo logo would be Obsidian Black Pearl to match the body color of the car or Cherry Blossom Red (STi pink) to match the badging though.
I'm also back and forth on if I want to buy another bike or dump some more money into the STi this summer and shoot for 375-400 AWHP. Leaning towards the bike because of gas prices and it would keep miles off the car.

its funny because right after i sell my coilovers i find the most legit set to buy in the entire world. if i would buy another set i would be all over a set of FEAL 441's. swift springs stock, revavled the 'correct' way, double adjustable....they are just straight awesome.
either that or if i didnt want to go as low i would get ST suspension coils (KW V1 without the stainless body).
So um, I don't really know how to put this, but I'm pretty sure my suspension build is going to be a big deal.
Usually??? lol you silly
Like ALWAYS!!!
$300 for my GTP GMPP (parts I can still order from the dealer at my discount) STB, F&R Sways, and Rear Trailing Arms... still gotta find a set of coilovers or something for struts and coils, and then brake upgrade... gonna get $$$ quickly. Can only imagine where your sitting for a newer Subi
Not too bad price wise. Blew my original budget out of the water but I get the deals (especially this week, I've gotten 3 awesome deals on brand new parts). It could be a lot worse.
