I've seen pictures of that car before. It's sexy, but red like that wouldn't flow with anything else on the car.

What about black with a cherry blossom red lip? I have the STi centercaps instead of the standard BBS ones, so there's already some CBR on the wheels. I wish I had PS, I'd shop it to see what it looks like.

are you sure? the grilles and the projector shrouds are different. if it is the same car then it must be the angle that makes them look darker

i think they are the same
but they do have some difference's, light fog lights, grills, and the badges are different colors, but they do have the same acc. things like wings, wheel and mainly everything else, so id same there the same

Pretty sure it's the same car with the projector shrouds painted a few other things switched up.

I've been planning on clearing my headlights for a long time and just painting them black (they're charcoal right now). I recently started working at an Advance Auto Parts and found out I can get a good deal on Obsidian black Pearl spray touchup. I have some in the brush on form already and it matches well enough that I went ahead and ordered 6 cans of it. I think it will look a little better matched to the body color than just plain black.

And this is the basic idea. Amber pieces removed from the headlights, and the stuff that's charcoal right now painted to match the color of the car.

I'm also debating removing the Subaru emblem and center pillar from the front grille like that guy did. It looks pretty clean. I'd leave the STi emblem and the supertones would still be behind the grille.

If I don't remove the Subaru emblem I'll be clearing it and painting the blue part with the same body color paint so that it's basically blacked out with just the stars there.

leave it there and paint it. looks way cooler than it missing.

There's just too much going on in the front grille right now. I like the look of the supertones even though they're played to the max so I don't really want to paint them so they blend in.

Well I just dropped ~$90 on LEDs to convert the tailights, headlights (except the hi/lo beam bulbs obviously) and interior lights to LEDs. I Figure when I pull the headlights apart to clear/paint them I'll throw in LED bulbs and new D2R low beam bulbs since mine are color shifted pretty badly.

Anyone want a few teasers of what I've been up to?

Pulled the headlights apart, removed all the amber pieces and painted the charcoal colored plastic obsidian black pearl. Also switched over to led marker lights/indicators in the front and converted the tail lights to all LED as well. Electronic flasher relay is on the way.

I polished the STi last night after it sat in the garage for a week waiting for some attention after being claybarred. Used an orange Lake County CCS pad and Zaino ZPC with my PC 7424 to do some paint correction. Today I'll be buffing it with 3M Perfect-It machine glaze which will remove any swirls or buffing marks, then I'll do 3-4 coats of Zaino Z-2 followed by Z-CS.

On the left is the paint after polishing, on the right is the paint after being washed/claybarred:

I bought some sweet strut tower braces and a H-Brace for the subframe, they're extra cool because they're cherry blossom red and they should be here sometime later this week. I also bought some Rally Armor UR mudflaps to help protect the paint that I'm working so hard to clean up. I'm also placing an order tonight for a V-Limited replica front lip. Should be pretty sweet.
