Em...where did you order from?

Since I'm a crook just a suggestion..maybe go to advance and order a set and see if they have the same issue..if they don't. Pull a switcharoo and return them.
^^^^That guy needs a medal for thinking of that ****. Buuuuttt... If this piece can be pulled off I'd be totally cool with it
Lmao I'm sure it could be cut off...but if not then you basically screw up your strut. My idea is less cheaper.
First time I've seen a set like that must of been a revised version or something or serve some kind of purpose. My buddy has excel struts and didn't have them in his.
Honestly it looks like a guy could take a screwdriver and a hammer and just pop it off with a few good whacks. But if it can't... Then they probably don't want a dented/scratched up strut
I'm hoping so. Nobody stocks them. Everyone has to order them from KYB...so I can't just order a pair. Take the one I need and give the other one back
Both of mine looked like the one on the left. I ordered from rock auto as well.
Yea advance is ordering them straight from kyb. And the guy I talked to knows me so it's not like he's feeding me lies lol. They just don't stock kyb stuff here I guess. They stock Monroe and rancho stuff
Weird..they stock that regularly here.. Either way I would order them and just wait a few days and see if they end up different. If they aren't get your money back and get to hacking the ones you have. Always better safe then sorry before you mess up a $50ish item.
Pretty sure you can all they normal do is just leave them in the store or send them back. It's not a special item like what you would buy at a dealer..it's a general replacement item so even though they don't happen to stock them it's still easily available just takes a few days to receive.
Well...issue resolved. I let my lack of patience get the best of me. I grabbed a straight blade and stuck it between the collar and shock body just to see what I could do. Gave it a little wiggle and I could feel it moving. Gave it some more wiggle, went 180*, little more wiggle and the whole thing popped right off. Easy as cake.
