I hate ****ing blown headgaskets... on a 3.1...
had to do my reserve drill **** all weekend (15 hour day) then come home and get the heads off... ****ing had to take the exhaust off behind the cat in order to get to the flexpipe bolts because they are impossible to reach on the back of the engine the way it sits..
Well.. heads are off to a machine shop to get milled down 1000th and to get hot tanked and checked for cracks/warping.
GTP wise engine i think was finished on friday.. just gotta pick it up!
and we lost a Soldier that served 40 ****ing years of service (my unit UA) that retired on Feb 26th.. and passed away on Friday at 0400 not even a WEEK after retirement.
40 years of faithful service to his country and to the army.

Custom make a turbo for your malibu then you will have 2 awesome cars to pimp around in lol
Finally an update on the gtp, its been awhile
Progress, just not much progress! lol
The Malibu set me back alot, and loosing access to the shop i was using also set me back.
but fear not it shall be completed.
Now...you also have full insurance on the GTP, including coverage for all the little extras you've put in that thing, right??
Engine looks good, really good. Cant wait to see the Gen V on there.
if anyone has access to alldata or anything of that nature i could use some assistance with the Fuel Injector plug order, sensors/wiring harness for my 3.1L V6 2000 Chevy Malibu.
95% done with the job but currently stuck on the harness and ****.
I've hooked those injector plugs up backward on a 3100 we dropped in my sisters old car... Took me a while to figure out what I'd done wrong lol
Car and motor are looking great! I just had mine down to shortblock not long ago, what a great feeling when it fires right up and everything is smooth. Don't forget to prime her before startup
Shouldn't they just lay into place where they came off?
Think I just googled it and found something, it was just misleading to me cause the injector bung is opposite the cylinder it actually goes to.
Malibu is back running. Just need to fix this shakey Belt issue as well as the engine temp sensor (my neighbor ****ing broke it.) and also need to find where this certain Vac line goes that is tied into the harness..
and i did the entire job with just a socket set and a torque wrench.
Awesome build thread and good read.
