Re: Spartan GL's (01/11/12) PG 22 for Engine Status Update Photos!!!
Make absolute sure that they check allllllllll clearances. Also, dont JB weld **** inside the engine, especially if you are going this far into the build. I'd assume you are getting roller rockers, so make sure that the pushrods are to the correct length.
Also, for the "wth is on the heads"....if you're talking about the 1st and 2nd head photos, that should be Valve-lapping compound.

Re: Spartan GL's (01/12/12) PG 23 for BODY WORK photos.
Everyone, i am in dire need of a HP tuners file to use as a starter that is similar to my build. Any and all help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Re: Spartan GL's (01/12/12) PG 23 for BODY WORK photos.
use the maf table for your maf.
use the injector table for your injectors.
command around 14* timing at WOT and run a large pulley to start with.
Large being 3.4.
Re: Spartan GL's (01/12/12) PG 23 for BODY WORK photos.
yep all that cladding still on the bottom of the car? all this paint work and engine work and everything work on this car considering the money going into it not taking the cladding off and painting it seperate and checking/cleaning up behind that plastic cladding on the bottom is INSANE to me!
(you liked my remark last time tho I have no idea why)
Re: Spartan GL's (01/12/12) PG 23 for BODY WORK photos.
molding the doors to get rid of the ridge from the cladding would be a ****************. i can understand why theyre still on the car

Also get the injector offset table for your injectors.

I'm not the one tuning it, my tuner is coming down from Daytona and wanted me to find a HP tune file with similar major modifications.
Re: Spartan GL's (01/12/12) PG 23 for BODY WORK photos.
motor flows air.
if the maf and fuel calibrations are on, you shouldnt have to change anything.
Re: Spartan GL's (01/12/12) PG 23 for BODY WORK photos.
No dude you got it all ass backwards not mold them! HAHA I meant take them off paint seperate and then put back on. Makes no sense to paint a whole car with out taking them off I promise you they will have a buildup of dirt in the plastic rocker trim.
I think Spartan finally got it too Id just hate to see a whole car being painted and not see the attention to details like that. Esp when prep work makes or breaks a paint job!
Re: Spartan GL's (01/12/12) PG 23 for BODY WORK photos.
And if there is dirt/debris behind that its all gonna blow out into your paint. Prep is about 85% of the paint process. Almost anyone can spray some paint, but taking all the necessary steps and all the little things in prep is what is going to mean the difference between a good paint job, and you might as well spray painted it type of paint job. Don't cut corners and try to save yourself a cpl bucks here n there, cuz IT WILL come back to bite you in the ass. Might not show up right away, but small imperfections will start showing thru over time!
