550 gram shift knob = awesome tastic.
crisp shifts, oh yes.

Does a weighted shift knob really make that much of a difference? I have TurnInConcepts super shift set (short throw, all the bushings and that jazz). I really like how it feels but the stock shift knob is in pretty bad shape (paint is wearing off) so I've been thinking about getting a new one.
a super dramatic OMG difference? no.
crispier shifts than the stock weighted knobs, oh yeah. it falls into gear more instead of how you have to kind of 'click' it into the gear.
My shifter is really notchy, especially compared to the stock sti shifter. I don't mind it at all but sometimes I miss a shift even during normal driving because I don't click it into gear like you're saying. want to trade cars for a day? I promise I'll drive yours like I drive mine (slow as balls).
DO you have any video of your exhaust? I was reading up on headers and read that the 06/07 2.5i has equal length manifolds from the factory. Does it affect the "traditional" boxer rumble at all?
i dont have any videos, no. however, the 'rumble' isn't there as much. it's a more smooth tone than the burble. i have read people commenting on equal length n/a boxers sounding like 'pissed off evos'. i think it's pretty close comparison to be honest. still a little burble, but more smooth.
i can't complain. i like how it sounds, not ricey.
looks good....did you get the beer shifter yet?
I love notchy shifters. I have an mgw orange handle on the cobra, with a light weight composite shift knob. It can get old for DD use though.
Looks good. You must make a pretty good sandwich too.
beer tap is still in the mail somewhere. i'm going to have to convert the threads on it from 3/8-16 to 12x1.25 so it threads onto my shifter, but ill most likely only use it for shows. i may drive with it in for fun a few times, though.
and jorow, suck it. you know youre jealous that im awesome at everything.
looks like a flamers interior...
just kidding of course...![]()
