304 isnt THAT bad....
304 will take a long time to start to rust
the fact of the matter is clear coating them will help in the long run. it doesnt hurt being proactive.
It took half a year TO FULLY RUST OUT BRAND NEW OBX headers BLA
I'm going to buy these in the spring and have them ceramic coated

Here's the intake manifold, I ported it, stuck the 180 double Drilled T-stat in it, And cleaned it up and painted it also blocked off the CRAPPY useless EGR. now its ready to go on the car. next i need to finish the headers, then the valve covers and i totally forgot to paint the blower.
Also any good write ups on blocking off the BBV boost reader thing. its under the boost valve. i have had it blocked off for years but never totally disconnected it, i always left it plugged in the wire. can't i just cap off the outlet on the blower?

the bbv solenoid?
If so, you just unplug it and remove it and the vac lines on it.
Just cap off the pressure side and let the bottom nipple of the BBV vent to atmosphere.
Just so you know.... all that does is force you to disable TCS all the time else the car wont be able to pull boost and will pull fuel and timing but not boost.
In otherwords, if TCS isn't off and it engages, you go lean then boom.
been doing some working, kinda busy selling all my tires lol, i wait till winter every year to sell my stock of tires.
anyways, i got my rear header back from the shop, its been extended and the egr closed off, i still need to trim it and sand it, and then everything is getting clear coated :D
oh and my new toy, slighty bigger then my phone lol

Those heads................
about time you updated us.
its coming along good tho.
Just spray some wd40 on them
coming along nicely :th_thumbsup-wink:
by the way, just noticed. youre going to have to replace that gasket later. do yourself a favor and buy a STOCK gasket to use for the blower. that garlock POS will not seal. for sure.
Turning out nicely, keep the pics rolling...
Also, I may be the one lucky sum'*****...but I've been running my Garlock gasket for about 25k miles now, sealed the first time, no problems at all..
