Got the first half of my stuff.

Now I just need the lower spring isolators and dust boots/bump stops, then when the SSC's come in I can just build the strut assemblies and have them ready to swap out once I get the time.
(EDIT): I thought I had ordered Moog, guess it was the discount Moog.
Eh. lol
SSC's are ordered and on their way, along with the rest of the pieces I need.
Got the springs today, but I'm still missing a few pieces... I ordered all of the spring insulators and boots through O'Reillys, because it was actually cheaper than going through RA and adding them to another order.
They somehow had the wrong upper spring insulators listed in their system, so now I'm waiting for another week. At least I got one of them done tonight...
One down, three more to assemble. by Ben Stryker, on Flickr
I hate spring compressors.
I think I've learned the secret...
The more problems I have when installing new parts, the less issues I have once everything is together and back on the road. lol
I'm OK with that.
Yup... on the second rear mount the little spacer wasn't pressed in, so I tried to press it in... Lots of swearing, filing, and sanding later it finally fits.
I have no doubt that the strut-to-knuckle bolts are going to be hell... But that will come later.
But...
Halfway there... by Ben Stryker, on Flickr
Now I can at least say I've gotten somewhere with this. lol
I finally got around to drilling and tapping the STB brackets I made last year... Then I had to take a flapwheel to them cuz they started rusting...
I've still got a few small spots to touch up, but by tomorrow I'll have pics of "professionally jury-rigged quality" homemade STB brackets. lol
Got the last two struts assembled...
After much interference from Murphy's Law, all four struts are finally assembled. by Ben Stryker, on Flickr
Either tomorrow or the next day I should have them on the car.

Still waiting on those pictures War!
Put down those new struts and git on those pics!!!
C'mon War!
You're running out of daylight up north!

Totally forgot about the pictures.

I just sprayed them with whatever can of black was nearest to me, turned out to be rubberized undercoating. I'm gonna say it was on purpose, because it turned out looking really good.

Dem rite der is purdy.
I'd prefer pictures in the daylight but I'll settle for using a flash.
And I've already started slotting the strut holes because as of right now the car has negative camber all around... Probably due to the stock struts and springs being completely worn out and sagging. lol
Looks good!
I'll take 1 set in blue!!!
$25.00 delivered?
Medium to dark blue...NOT baby blue!
I haven't gotten it back on the car yet, cuz I'd have to pull it right back off when I swap out the struts. lol
It'll take a little while, I've got way too many projects going on right now... Restoring my wife's old cedar chest that her grandfather built 50-ish years ago, restoring my old rocking horse, which was my dad's old rocking horse, and originally my grandfather's... it's at least 100 years old.
But if you're really wanting a set, I can try and squeeze it in... or just send you the template and instructions.
