2002 GP GT. Trying to remove my brake booster so I can install the smaller ZZP one for my 3" turbo downpipe. I've unbolted the Master Cylinder, and removed the retaining clip, but the rod won't separate from the brake pedal. Am I missing something?

It should slide off with the plastic switch, wiggle the pedal at the same time.

To remove the booster from the fire wall you need to twist the whole booster. I just stuck a pry bar against the two studs that held the master on and twist. I am pretty sure you twist counter clockwise when looking at it. The rod should slide off of the pedal assembly before trying to remove the booster.

That's the part I'm stuck on. I've removed the retaining clip but it won't come loose.

if the master is off the booster the rod should push in real easy. then un hook or be clear it of the brake pedal. ive taken a few out, none in a w body, i can only guess they are all similar.

Try using some pliers on the rod and the knob end of the pedal, you should be able,to pop it loose.

I used a small pry bar, with the tip under the left bolt and the bar on top of the other bolt just push down and it should twist and come off.
