Hi guys i might be new to the GTP car but not to cars. even racing them. this is mostly the wifes car so mods will need to be simple and cant Kill the gas or driveabilaty of the car. Any one use the ZZperformance kit???? thinking I might get this and maybe bolt on a 50 shot for me when I drive it or when I take it to the track. Talk to all of you soon

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...00-Powered-Car!! read this first.

headers are your first mod. but being your in ca you'll have to buy carb headers and those are not cheap, tog or slp brand is what you'll need to pass smog.

pretty sure theres a set of tog headers for sale still here.

you'd pay that for that list of nothingness?

shopping used, i got a tuner, headers a 3.4 and rockers for less then the stage one lol just got to wait for stuff to pop up and be ready to pounce on it.

you can buy a 3.4 press on pulley cheap, or a mps hub and 3.4 pulley for about a 100.

you can get a reptile pcm for a 100

    headers for 217 shipped.

    104 plugs 16 bucks/

you dont need the t stat.

see thats a stage 2 kit. and your waiting for what? all this stuff is for sale new. no waiting.

But he lives in the communist state, they won't let him mod it all.

Might aswell skip headers because they won't be CARB and won't pass inspection.

also there's a 2.5 catted downpipe and an overkill pcm for a $100 each in the sale forum.
    so DP & pcm ..= 200
    new powerlog ..........= 140
    new modular pulley... = 100
    plugs............ .........= 16
    180 tstat................=10
    9" spectre cone filter =40
    total.............= about 500 with shipping
this would give you better flowing exhaust and a better pcm than zzp is offering in their stage 2 kit for $150 less

Add another 60 and just get headers. Now its 10 x's better than zzp stage2. Speed daddy's were only 197 shipped last I looked.

he cant run sd headers in ca. he wont pass inspection. plog and ported rear manifold may pass tho. slp and tog headers will pass tho, but both are expensive headers.

SD Headers with a CARB compliant converter won't pass with the stock catback? Seems kinda lame.

I suggest moving from Camifornia so you can work on your car and do things and not care about the environment.

i'm not sold on the rear plog as far as being an improvement over stock. why ? because zzp themselves aren't even claiming it as an improvement. all they got to say about it is the obvious..."won't flow as good as OUR headers , but sure is easier to install" .... sorry but that doesn't exactly encourage me to wanna part with $199.

for the last time, you cant use any of the zzp dp crap. go learn your states laws, then buy some parts. i dont even think they will ship it to ca either. cause its not carb compliant.

do yourself a huge favor, and forget you ever saw that crappy zzp web site. they charge to much, customer service blows too.

ZZP does say there catted downpipes are OBD2 compliant, but i've read people saying they failed emissions testing with them. so install at your own risk.
