Scotty Please Dont get upset. I was just asking as I am new to the GTP and the zz stuff was the first that came up on my looking and have a few buddys that have a few of there parts but none had bought a package of parts like they offer. I didnt attack you please dont get up set about it. if you dont like what your reading dont respond. I was asking questions so that I could make the best chose. I have over 20years or running nitrous on dang near anything i could piut it on but didnt want to put it on my wife car as a solid power adder. I wanted a bit more out of it until the nitrous is to be used. ZZP had a package and like most places that offer a package it means that the items are work together and are common. LIke Edelbrock does with his parts. I have been looking on this site and another SC3800 pages to add ods without killing the driving part. In fact I took your advice (do that you seem to now alot about the cars, and your number of posts) and ahve been looking into the parts you told me to get and save money.

Yes I live in CA but unlike most people I keep the old parts and put them on before I take it to smog. I know its a sucky thing to do but thats my way around it and its only a weekends worth the work for 2 years of fun. But the more smog legal parts to get the less I have to take off an on.

Scotty you mentioned something about a chipped piston?? please i would like to hear more about what to do and not do with the car. Ive even thought of getting another SC3800 car to really build so would love the input.

    Thanks Doug B

you can start by reading the how to safely mod your car instructions. what scotty is saying is that zzp doesn't care if you blow up your engine. they only care about selling you parts. for example their stage 2 kit "might" be ok for some cars , but could cause other cars to ruin an engine. you can't just throw on a smaller supercharger pulley without knowing how your engine is reacting to it . you find out by scanning for knock retard. to much knock and you'll be finding pieces of your piston in your oil pan. zzp doesn't tell you things like that because they don't care.

im no where near upset lol and pretty much what he said. ^^^^

and zzp is not Edelbrockby a long shot, they can try, but its not the same........most have found them to just suck, and be over priced. 99% of guys dont like their canned tunes either.

you really need a a way to scan for KR, if you can afford a tuner get one. HP tuners will work, or good old DHP also works well and costs less.

your all stock and it has kr. its ok cause its stock, but once you start with pulleys and headers that kr will now cause chipped pistons.

    looks like this when chipped.
