So a while back I picked up stage 3 zzp heads with 105s on them.
I wanted to run 130s and removed the springs and retainers.
Knowing how I did my spring swap on my stock heads, I figured this would be straight forward.

    Its not.

I see shims under the springs in the spring seats - so I removed them
The intake valves are a bit shorter then the exhaust valves - ??
    And
the zzp site says to use stock retainers with the "longer ls style valves" - I have those

soo :scratch head: what the heck.... What should I do from here ?

Are you sure the intake valves are actually longer or do they sit higher due to a deeper cut on the valve job?

The shims are to correct valve spring installed height. Most springs are rated at a specific install height like 1.8" or so.

So I used a digi caliper , the valves are 1mm difference in height when off the head It's my understanding that ^^ is correct - they must cut the valve seats more on the exhaust then intake So what it came down to was a 2mm difference from my crude measuring skills.
