So I am new to this forum. I have been registered on Regalgs for a while in the hopes of learning more about W-Body vehicles. Currently I have 30 days plus a 10 day extension to sell my current Honda Civic (or get it traded in) and find a running vehicle.

I ran the gamut from BMW/Mercedes/Audi/Volkswagen to Honda/Acura/Mazda/Toyota/Nissan/Lexus. I have looked at about 50 cars in the last couple months and I have checked out many times more on Kijiji/auto trader.

I came back to one vehicle. A W-Body with a L67 in it. Fast, 4 doors, comfortable and can look half decent. I have beeing trying to track down a Regal GS or Bonneville for a couple months with no luck. GTP's however are very common so that's what I am interested in getting. I believe with some work and some tasteful mods, I can have a vehicle that looks great and can peel the paint of many of the other cars on the road.

You'll want to start here. Since you're up north, be especially on the lookout for rust, especially around the wheel wells, strut towers, and rocker panels.
2003 GT Limited Edition 199k - The $600 winter beater.
2004 Buick LeSabre 172k - Top Swapped, 3.5 pulley, 1.9 rockers, SLP headers... still slow...

Yeah thats the challenge I face in the salt belt. Finding a quality W-Body with a super charger with minimal rust is just awful. Step one is to get a really good quality rust proofing job done, hopeful slow down or stop any rust issues.
