    Hello,
Back in October 2014, I purchased a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix at a local used car dealer. So far, I'm having good luck with it.
It is a base model that has a 5 button Driver Information Center. I thought the base models only have a 3 button one.

First off Welcome! Post some pics of your ride!

I could be wrong on this but AFAIK I think the 5 button DIC was an option no matter trim level. Aceofspades has an 06 base loaded with basically every option including 5 button DIC.

The 5 button DIC wasn't a separate option though, was part of an upgrade package, do you have a HUD too?

IIRC the only info the 5 button has that the Base model can't use is the boost meter. A 5 button factory installed on a Base model should still have compass and thermometer.

3 button DIC doesnt offer alot, basically just mileage and trip computer and settings.

5 button DIC should have way more features like instant mpgs, compass, trans temp, avg speed, avg mpg, oil life.

And it's was an option on anything after the GT2's went away. Kinda why 1/3rd of the 06-08 cars had no traction control or ABS.

Yes it has more features, but saying that even if it's not stock, the only thing the base model can't use is the boost meter. So it's a nice upgrade.

Figured they changed it for 06+ since 04-05 it's only part of the Infotech package (HUD/5-button) option on GT2-GTP and standard on Comp-G
