Will putting new oe quick struts raise the rear end of my grand prix? If not, what should I do because I hate how low my rear end sits
|
might not be the struts... did you ever check the rear strut towers? they could be rotted all to sh*t. Your strut mounts might just be sitting on the rear speaker deck lol
then yeah, if their not rusted through. your rear suspension is crap...
But another plan, would be... Buy the coilover parts, I have for sale, a couple other odd's and ends... build a front set, and level the bish out
I think ass sag is just a GP thing.
How many miles are on the current ones and do you have anything in the trunk/backseats?
New ones should raise any sag the old ones had. Just remember you are going to need an an alignment afterwards. You also could opt for intrigue springs which are stiffer (if i remember right) which would help if you had stereo crap or whatever in the trunk too. Not sure if they would help overtime to reduce sag tho.

All GPs near me must have dead bodies in the trunk then, all i see have sag pretty bad except a few. *shrugs*

ballin on a buudget. Gotta get low somehow
Quick struts will raise it higher than you want it, it will have a nasty rake in the back.
I would price out new struts and see if you can't find some new delco springs because quick struts will make it higher than stock height.
I bought quick struts for my 2002 gp, regretted it from day one. It sits at almost an inch higher than stock, does not look very sporty.
ebay quick struts, 3 yrs no problems
Id love to see how you compared 1" higher height vs stock height..... because you clearly replaced a WORN out ass saggin part....
I also bought them off of ebay, I can post a picture if you don't believe me. haha. Before the settled they looked horrid, I was almost embarrassed to drive it.
whats a picture gonna show me, a stock level from the factory gp? these cars never road "low"
I know they never rode low, I just know its higher than it should be.
doubt it
Anyone have a figure on stock wheel gap?
I put quick struts in the rear of my car, it didn't raise the back hardly at all and what little it did it settled over a few months.
