Then you pray they rebuild it correctly so you don't have to deal with it again

Ok, so got a call today and the dealership is going to fix it. They sent the car to a local shop to rebuild it. It's a reputable shop I have dealt with them before but don't know for sure if they are going to rebuild or change out. It's supposed to be on deck tomarro and then I will know more, I'm just relieved they are going to fix it.

Make a trip over there and ask them lol and thank god it's not being fixed on your dime.
I know huh? They could have told me "your screwed" because I bought the car As Is, No Warranty and then fell in that 30 window until the Extended warranty kicked in. What is the deal with that by the way? 30 grace period for extended warranty -...

That's how most extended warranty companies operate. They do it that way because after the 30 days, its prorated every month, so if you were to cancel it, you wouldn't get the full amount back.
You are able to cancel it within the first 30 days, from when it was purchased, and then you would be able to get a full refund.
Makes sense but sucks either way. The whole as is thing can be sketchy. Had a buddy a few months sell his honda si and then went and purchased a Lincoln LS as is. His a important guy I told him what to look out for but he didn't listen. He bought the car by... 2 of the windows motors didn't work, needed tires bad and the window kept falling down.. Told him why the hell would you buy something like this.. It's a tell tale sign that is has problems if they wanted to really sell it they would of fixed these minor things.. A week later the headgasket let out. Money down the drain because he bought it as is and didn't bother having someone look at it for him. Dealer did nothing because he bought it as is and they had every right not to do anything. Lessoned learn by him.. Ended up selling it for cheap.
I got the car back and the trans works great. So I wanted to ask you guys about running synthetic trans oil, anyone using synthetic? If so what kind?
Thanks,

I just run Dex VI its semi synthetic iirc and to increase your trans life this time around I would get the stuff others suggested earlier. Trans cooler, shift kit, tune.
