Thank you I really appreciate the advice, wouldn't have even thought of that. I think I will get a smaller trans cooler in parallel with the current one. Winters in the Midwest get pretty rough and I wouldn't want to constantly have to work on the same thing... I would rather do the "one and done". As long as it keeps me a consistent temp under 180. I currently am running pretty cool with the one it has right now, rarely climb near 200 and that's only when I push it pretty hard so that is expected.

I am getting my new transmission cooler installed today! Trans temps average about 185, a lot of city driving will push it to about 210. I know it's not the hottest temps but that is definitely hot. Seeing how I want this car to last, I am doing my best to be proactive about the problems.

Trans cooler is getting installed today and the fluid/filter changed. Next on the list is some new tires, and wheel bearings.

When I reverse out of my drive way, when my passenger rear tire goes down the curb, it makes a clunk noise, does anyone know why? Also the same tire will cause some vibrate at high speeds, nothing I have noticed, but something someone pointed out to me when they had to fix a nail in the tire. They said it will wobble.

I'm not sure if the GXP is set up the same as my GP in the back but I'd suggest getting the car up on jack stand and start tugging and pulling things around. You could start with the wheel on and check for any play. Then you could pull the wheel of and start lightly wiggling things around. Progress to violent shaking and you may find something.

I found a rear sway bar end link with play in it just by wiggling stuff around. It would rattle when backing out in my (rough) driveway.

If they said "that tire" will cause problems then there is likely something wrong with the tire itself, out of round/out of balance etc. If you're buying new ones I would sweat it. Just my thoughts on your issues - not gospel!

Thanks man, I will definitely do that. The guy didn't say it was the tire, he said it might be a control arm or something but he couldn't let me know for sure because they were really busy and didn't have time to look at it.

Control arms are only on the front of the Grand Prix but other cars may be different.
