I've been a lurking member for about two years and never really posted or anything. So, I will do so now. I got my Grand Prix about two years and done the usual maintenance. I like the ways it runs. It's a 1999 Grand Prix SE with the 3800 motor in there. It came with web wheels. Old lady wheels as I call them. I bought some polished torque stars on eBay and put those on my car. Cleaned them up real nice. My car was hit a year ago so my passenger door, fender, front bumper, and hood were repainted. I payed out of pocket a little bit, insurance payed for a new tire. Used that money to paint those parts. I'm looking to get it dual exhaust. Anyone ever see an SE with a GT/GTP bumper? I put a Magnaflow on it and sounds better than a stock 3800. I'm gonna take it to a shop in my area to get a dual exhaust. Here are some pics from when I washed it this past weekend.

Front side shot: I don't like ants so that's why it's there.

"Are they chrome?" "No, polished aluminum." "Nah bro, they're chrome."

"You drive a grandpa car, bro." "Drive a Civic."

Cars don't smoke, so why is it baked? Also, maybe someone can photoshop another tip on the other side to see how it looks. Probably won't look good unless there's cutouts, anyone ever seen just a cutout kit for bumpers or an SE with a GT bumper?

    The engine bay.

    Thank you.

Dam texas cars, always so freaking clean.

I think the catfish nose and GT/P bumper makes them look funny, kinda one of those things where you need to get front and rear bumper along with side skirts to make it all look better.

Thanks, it's very rare to find clean W-body cars in Texas that are in good condition, or don't have 24s on them. When I was looking for a Prix most of them had moldings missing or something was terribly wrong mechanically. I found this car when I was looking at another car. This car wasn't on Craigslist, I went to go look at a Dodge Stratus and there is was. Sitting alone. Picked it up. Good condition, just a ripped up headliner with 105,xxx miles. Such a story.
Anyway, where I live it's rare to see a Grand Prix, well in good condition. My family and I took a trip to Chicago during the summer and instead of seeing trucks over there, they were very nice W-body cars. About 1 in 8 cars were GPs or Bonnevilles. We saw like two GPs and a Bonne in a parking lot (most I've ever seen in one place besides the junkyard.) My dad asked the guy why they're in such good condition, no rust or sun baked. They are garage kept during the winter. So, GPs and other W-body cars are well kept up north. That's why in the south it's fun to see other Grand Prixs in good condition.

I have a soft spot for the fish front, not gonna lie. I don't mind it. That tip has to go though. I think if you had a very flat wide tip that would look better. Maybe you could just jam a catfish onto the pipe (just kidding, couldn't resist). Of course theres always the option of no visible tip, what could be cleaner than that? Just an angle cut steel turn-down is all you need for that. Whole car looks real clean.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

Fried catfish is best catfish, I'll just have to put some seasoning before I place it in there. Ha. But if I try to hide the tips the muffler will still be visible.

I'm going to go to some junkyards in my area to try and get a bargain on some exhaust tips. The shop I'm going to take it to has the same used model muffler in good condition for a good price. I'm going to take some tips and hold them on an SE at the yard, see how they look. Probably the only mods I'll do are an intake, (DIY of course) with some extra tax money, and an HV3 insert. I might pick it up on black friday at zzp or if someone on the forums sells one I'll pick it up. Probably the only two I'll do.

You should try MI or Ohio, half the GPs are rusted POS collapsed rear suspension, MIA rockers, smashed everything.

I would think MI is a nice home to GPs since Motor City is over there, or any influence/heritage of it.
