Hey guys, I purchased my 98 GTP late last summer and fell in love with it. Hands down my favorite car I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of cars lol I've recently started an engine built on it, but the lack of speed sport shops in my area is unreal so I've turned to ordering parts online. Which I've done plenty of for quad parts ect..I found a website called 3800performance . com, but I am a little concerned as aside from the user interface on the web page it doesn't seem legit to me..lots of decent parts in there but I'm questioning if its real or just someone trying to scam me. I'm wondering if anyone here has purchased parts or mods from this site and if so what is the feedback from your experiences? Or is there another good site for parts and mods that I haven't found? Any help you could give would be great! Thanks in advance!

Ok I'm glad to hear that..I guess what raised my questions was I placed an order for a cam a couple weeks ago and after a few communications with a staff member there my can still hasn't been shipped, though it was supposed to be shipped Wednesday or Thursday of last week. So I started to question things and get a little nervous about the whole deal. I'll wait it out a little longer and hopefully it gets shipped next week. I have done the heads and valves and push rods in my engine, waiting for the cam so I can put it all back together again..any suggestions for the next mod aside from intake and exhaust?

next would be a ic and a pulley drop, and a tune of course.

your north of the boarder, so everything takes longer to get to you.

for a tune you got overkill up there. look him up, if your close he does in car tunes, (what you really want)

Screw the intercooler, it's going to be cammed. Spending over a 1,000 on a new I/C is a waste of money.

Get some headers and a 3.4 pulley to start and find a tuner or tune it yourself.

Yeah I was looking into headers for it..they're near the top of my list lol as well as a smaller pulley, though I hadn't decided exactly how small to go. There is a guy about 45 minutes away that does tuning and dyno runs so I had planned to take it to him once I completed it..is there any point to buying a pre programmed computer? I see 3800performance sells them, but that would be generic right, not car specific..

thats a canned tune. you tell them your mods they set up the pcm for the mods you have. and your gonna want to scan for KR.

you will want them headers on when the cam is installed so it can exhale. so f near the top of the list. put them at the top of the list. asap.

As far as headers go, if you want a good bang for your buck get the Speed Daddy headers off ebay, a lot of guys on here run them and have minimal issues with them. But if you want a good quality header go with ZZPs headers, they seem to be the best quality and the best priced, TOGS are nice but cost a bit more than the ZZPs, and iirc the TOGs need to be welded in. This thread will help you better and give you links to where to find them http://www.grandprixforums.net/threa...anifold-Thread

LOL. Doesn't seem legit?? Yea I know what you're saying. The UI/Platform is pretty out dated and ****ty but it's legit and has good parts.
