Coolant temp sensor in under the thermostat, screwed into the lower intake manifold.

All coolant will pretty much dump out when you remove it.

Yep be prepared to lose half a gallon of coolant while you're at it. Replaced three of the bastards before I got one that would work properly

other than removing the 2 bolts that hold it down? idk maybe some sort of teleporter or magic could work but since the teleporter has not be built yet thats not going to work. just remove the 2 bolts on the housing and pry it up in the center with a screw driver it will pop right on out.
im a cookie again yay me

Why would you remove the thermostat housing?

The temp sensor is UNDER it, screwed into the lower intake itself. Unplug the wire connector and get a wrench or socket on it and remove it.

It is a tight spot in there unfortunately. There is really no way around it. I used a crescent wrench and did it 1/4 turn at a time.

A ratchet wrench would probably help too if you can find one that will fit in there
