Hello! Just picked up a new to me 06 GXP with 109k on the odo for 7k! I think it was a steal considering the condition. Thing was babied by a 70 yr old couple since birth and all maintenance records to prove it. Hell they even changed the oil a few time at 1500 miles. I have only found minor scratches of all places on the top of the bumper where it looks like someone dropped something trying to put it in the trunk. So far very pleased with it.

Only issue i have is it came with version 2.0 for Nav. I have quite a few new roads here that don't pick up. I "think" version 6.0 is the newest? Are there other models of cars i should search for that the dvd would work in this Nav?

I for sure will be hanging out and asking/learning more, until then i hope my pic shows up!

Ya know what, not much. This is my DD. I know all to well to fubar with a DD. Probably once i get bored just an exhaust, intake, cam and tune. That would be about it. Just by owning it a week or so i can already tell the front tires probably won't last long, and that's just from trying to beat red lights.. Should be interesting.

Oh, and i have no other pics yet, but it's loaded with everything but moonroof.

I have seen where it's a good idea to get the trans cooler. So far i haven't seen it get past 190, then again it's winter. What does the shift kit do, besides make it shift harder?

a shift kit makes it shift faster so the clutches dont wear out as fast, like with the stock settings.

feels better too with the quicker firmer shifts.

That's the only way that trans is gonna survive the power. Jegs has good deals on trans coolers whole kits for like 100 bucks.

I also believe you just need to hit 89 degree for your torque converter to lock for better mpg.

you dont want to run the tranny to cold. being hes in the north he should probably run the cooler off the rad cooler, the 2 in line. that way it gets some more heat in the winter time.

my truck used to run around 150, it had a stock cooler added in line with the rad cooler. all factory HD stuff. even had a oil cooler. the cooler and its lines held 3 quarts of oil. found that tid bit of info out the hard way, the line blew lol.

Thanks. Yeah I think so. They next cheapest one i could find in my area was like 10,500.

I will keep an eye on the trans temp and look into the trans cooler probably more towards spring time!

Anyone got any more info on the Nav disc? I can't seem to find out if version 6 of the disc will work with my nav or not, or if there is any other vehicle out there that may have used the same nav system. I think i read where the Vette, and maybe Trailblazer SS had the same nav. Just looking for options to find a cheaper disc. $160 is steep.
