I've searched the forums and got a decent idea on what mods I can safely do but no direct answer and wasn't sure what topic this would be in lol. Any way here's the question:
My current mods to my '00 gtp are ubend delete, down pipe delete, high flow cats, and CAI all from ZZP (they were all on the car when I bought it) from my understanding I think it would be safe to run a 3.4-3.5 pulley with the correct tune. Is this a safe assumption or is there something else or multiple things I should do first?. I'm not looking to have the fastest car around just looking for a little more power to mess with the insane amount of mustangs in my area lol. Also what PCM would be recommended? I had overkill on my 3.4 impala and was pleased with it but not sure about the 3800 s/c. Thanks in advanced for any responses or advice! Loving the forums and the car so far! Then again with this being my 3rd wbody I wasn't expecting anything less!

You MIGHT be okay but all cars are different..generally everyone recommends headers or a power log (plog) which is a bigger primary front exhaust manifold and a downpipe. Lucky for you zzp has Black Fridays and you can get a plog and downpipe for 30% off. Or the next or first best thing are speed daddy headers off ebay. Those run about 200-220, if you can make an offer go for 197 n you should be able to get them.
as far as a tune goes, I'd go overkill again. That's what I have and I like it..although I've never had a zzp, intense, wbodystore, or dhp canned tune.
Again though, zzp is 50% off tuned Pcms right now too! as well as wbodystore.
so ultimately it's on you, if you can put headers on, go for them. But then you need a new 3 inch flex unless you don't mind some ticking after it blows out, or if you wanna spend a little more you can get the plog n downpipe combo..oh yeah, modular pulley systems are on sale too at zzp

id say dont drop pulleys. and you cant have a down pipe delete. well you can but there would be nothing connecting your rear manifold to the cat back. get a 3 inch dp and a plog or headers. and a custom tune or a canned tune from 3800performance.com.

Thank you! I think I'll pick up the pulley and PCM now since they're so cheap and just hold off on installing them until I have extra cash/time to do the headers. Or do you think it'd be safe to run the PCM and pulley until then if I just keep off the gas?

Ya I'd grab a 3.6 but not a 3.4. If you're dropping pulleys tho you need to scan. And it would be a lot safer with a plog. If you order, plog, pulley, n pcm you'd be golden. Aeroforce or torque app n elm 327 if you have an android phone

Alright sounds good, do you have a rough idea of a hp increase that will make? Just trying to get an idea before I spend the money lol not the richest guy ever and if it's not much of an increase I may just stick with it how it is for a while.

I'm gonna add my 2 cents here. IMO, anyone who is modding or is planning to mod. should get a scan gauge. You need to know how the car is running and what (if any) issues need to be addressed. I found my Aeroforce Interceptor gauge an invaluable tool when running my modded GT. With GTPs I can imagine it would be even more useful. Like I said, just my opinion though

Well I can always buy used from ZZP to save, don't quite have the money right now though. Switched insurance companies today and about half my paycheck went to the start up cost lol

Don't bother buying used from ZZP. Forum priced are cheaper and you'll get your stuff sooner.

ZZP is garbage in terms of customer service.
