well today before i went too work i got too start it, turned the kea too start and nothing happened, absolutely nothing no security light or anything, not even a click, the lights didn't dim, nothing... tried several times, then my mom tried, she turned the kea and held it in the start position for a few seconds and it finally started after holding it there... kind of embarrassing when my mom can start my car and i cant XD

this sounds like a issue with the ignition... i was told buy my friend at work some screw or something can be loose and tightening it can fix the issue, don't know the ignition in the Pontiac is different than my Buick, in my Buick the ignition was in the steering column, is this a common issue.

PS it doesn't do it now after it started it starts now every time, just turn the kea too start and away it goes turns the engine over and it fires and runs like a charm like it always does, just that one time the kea had too be held in the start position a few seconds before it would start.

Clean the battery terminals and make sure they are tight.

The ignition would be the last thing I'd look at.

battery connections tight, i plan too clean them, it just doesn't seem like a battery issue, if it was would i not see the lights dimming when i turn the kea too start? maybe im wrong but bad connections would cause a lack of current too the system, when you turn the kea there would not be enough energy too power the radio, interior lights and everything while trying too turn the starter? which worked just fine when i turned the kea.

anyhow thanks for the tip, ill clean the connections and get my battery checked tomorrow as originally planned.
