i just put in a cold intake on my grand prix gt. i tested to see how much of a difference is on speed. from a complete stop. i full throttled it and the rpm's shot to 6k and would bounce back and forth from 6k and not shift until i would let off the trottle. whats my problem? please help>

Hmmm. An intake shouldn't do that. Can you trying taking the intake off and putting the stock air box on and see if it does it again. Also do you have pics of your setup?

kinda sounds like you blew your tranny up.

the intake will do nothing for you speed wise. you wont feel it, but maybe hear it.

Yea the intake seems fine. Something else seems wrong. Were you having trans problems before the intake?

if you were to take the tranny out yourself, then drop it off at a shop, id think the 1200 to 1300 range would be about right.

alright thanks. just looking for the stock tranny i dont have a supercharger so i dont need any tranny mods. just trying to keep it mild. but do you maybe think i might just need my computer reprogramed for a quicker shift?

some one just said they rebuild their own tranny for a bout 600, dont know if that included a new torque converter.

add a shift kit, that will firm up the shifts for you.

thats not as bad as your first post. its got a late shift and is hitting the rev limiter. thats why the rpm's bounce like that when it red lines.

some how im sure the code for the max adapt or what ever the F its called will show its face.

a shift kit can fix that one up. pretty sure, someone will correct me if im wrong.
