Take the plastic that surrounds the steering wheel off, then take a zip tie and put it over the key release button located behind where the hazard switch is. Worked for me...

ok, just so we're clear, you cant turn the key from the locked position.

you need to crank on the steering wheel, as if to your turning it. one way will be tight and wont move, the other it will move, turn it what ever way it moves, then turn the key.

are you on a hill parked by any chance? if so the wheel is very tight, it has to move a little bit, they all do, push a bit harder each way till you feel it move. then push in the key and turn it you may even have to wiggle the key back and fourth.

when on a hill parked, the weight of the car is pulling on the wheels, if the wheels are turned some, it can really pull hard on the steering wheel, and holds it super tight to the wheel lock. pushing it what ever way it moves takes the wheel off the lock and lets it unlock.

It might be your brake lock out switch has a broken wire. There is a little "button/cap" on right side of the shift housing near the front. If you pry that up it opens a slot that you can insert a screw driver and by pushing down (not too hard) will release the solenoid and turn the key. The proper fix is covered in different areas of the site and you can look that up for more details.

if you read all the posts, you'd see he fixed it, the lock tumbler was shot.
