I am seeking help with an intermittent problem with a 2004 Grand Prix. I will be driving along and the engine cuts-off. This generally only happens when it is a hot day or if the car has been sitting in the sun. Generally I can restart the car immediately; the only exception has been when it was a super-hot day and it would not restart for about 15 minutes. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Also, where is the access to the fuel pump on this car? I know it is in the trunk for some models.

That sounds pretty common for a crank sensor. Have you gotten any codes from it at all?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

No codes. Just replaced the crank sensor...didn't even make it home from the shop before it happened again.

Yea there is 04 can access from trunk. I believe some 05s had it as well. 06-08 I believe they switched it again.

To OP pull the rear seat down and then lift up the carpet from the trunk should see the access panel

Ok.. if the crank sensor didn't do it and you have no codes. Try unplugging the maf sensor and starting the car. Might take a little throttle to get it running. Drive w/o the maf connector on for a bit and see if it stalls.
