Did you read and comprehend what you read about KR and AFR?
I don't want to spoon feed you because then you'll never do your research, but from what you post, you're looking at chipping a piston or 6.
i will start reseaching now
Honestly it seems like your new to this. I know you probly want a fast racecar as most of us do. But once you start modding your gonna start breaking things. Make the car look nice. That will keep you busy for awhile and give you time to read and learnt eh mechanics and do/donts of an engine/modding.
ok so i read a little bit on the KR and Octane. i have to redo all the suspension on my car so while im there i wanted todo some minor mods. Thinkin headers and in cat back That would be safe todo and a good starting point? And it isnt going to be a race car but once in a blue moon more of a nice car i can be proud of and show to people lol. i do want to put halo head lights and tail lights on it (old ones got haze on the lends) and then black it out.
There ya go. Headers are a great starting point and supporting mod for all your other mods down the road.
Alright ill start with that and should i get colder plugs and bigger wires now or should i jus put stock back into it?
Stock wires and plugs are best until you are ready for a 3.4 pulley. As you probably read you can do a 3.6 after headers and be fine without a tune. That should give you a little more pep to get you started.
alight thanks alot ill fix all my suspension problems and do the exhaust job and ill get back on here and ask if what i am planning next sounds good and safe lol
does a tune put more stress on the motor and tran because of the high shift points?
No catback keep it stock.
why do you say no cat back doesnt that restrict flow and cause KR?
A good tune will help the motor. But if the torque management is disabled its going to put more stres on the trans and your gonna end up needing a new one and/or rebuild. If your planning on getting it tuned dont order one. Or atlease order from will at overkill as only a base tune and then have someone in your area that knows what there doing tune it for you.
so basically have them make the tune specifically for my car and update the tune when i add mods the car.

Alright thanks for the direction!
No idea what is going on in this thread.
Also one more thing. Just a shift kit is a good starting point if you cant build the trans yet. Basicly the clutch packs in our trans tend to grind cus they take to long to press together. Adding a shift kit will allow them to press faster and firmer resulting in longer life. Also give it a much better shift/feel. Just a heads up befor you start beating on the thing.
