whats up im new to the site but not to the platform ive had a regal gs a 01 special edition and now two 04+ grand prix

for what ever reason last spring when it came time to build a new play toy i was thinking vette, cts-v then i decided i wanted to get something cheap roller wise and just spend all the money on the drivetrain, i went with a 2004 GT just for the fact that i always wanted to turbo one of my other wbodys and i picked up the clean roller for 600 bucks, last year it was pretty tame i never could turn the boost up real high due to not having enough fuel pump, but the car put down a some what respectable 522whp at 17psi it was basicly just a t67, st5 cam, e85 car with a built trans, this year i went all out alot of custom went into trying to lay down massive numbers new motor build was just finished up about a week or so ago ill try my luck at getting some pics up

there is a link video option when you post and for pictures you need to use photobucket with the img link

this was last years set up, half ass attempt at running at the track it was the last weekend of november 39* out and my brakes wouldnt hold well enough to spool up the turbo at the line, i turned the boost down to 15lbs for the runs that day just wanted to get a feel for the car on slicks

Awesome build! love the 04 + turbo'd just dont see very many and as the price keeps dropping for these and harder and harder to find a 97-03 thats not all rusted to hell! That engine bay looks all business.
Any weight reduction? And what are the times so far?

there is some weight reduction im not really sure on the weight this year, i changed up a few things when i built the new motor, the trunk is gutted all the insulation under the carpet was pulled out it had gotten wet before i picked up the car so i pulled it all out, no bumper supports, no ac or any of the stuff that goes along with it, no power steering, zzp control arms, light weight battery mounted up front, it has the smaller 97-03 brakes all the way around to fit the 15" rims for track use, and drag lites with slicks and skinnys, im thinking with all the interior in it and a half tank of gas it should be around 3100-3150 this year on the drag lites, last year i only took it to the track the one time but with my slugish launches i was running consistant 11.9's 7 times in a row actually lol, it had alot more in it the cam just wasnt making enough vacuum for the brakes to hold at the line so this winter i installed a vacuum pump and now i can brake boost from a stand still that should drop quite a bit off my times and im estimating this years set up is in the area around 650ish whp we will find out in a couple weeks hopefully
