Alright I have been tossing up a idea with marines about doing a custom true duel exhaust okay aleast the almost true duals lol, maybe going public with it and the other problem I have right now is I need undercarriages of both body styles. But I need thoughts ideas and who would actually buy a kit!

People have dome it before with the 3.8 btw. Just don't remember what all they did. I'll find links as to where they did it later

If it can be done for the gxp it would be awesome. The trick is making it work. I'm thinking right now and if these cal speed headers get released then money wise a 3 inch single pipe would end up probably being cheaper

. The #5 is the one I'm looking at doing, where the little hash marks are that's where it would disconnect and reconnect, would have to use a long tube muffle vs like a flow master 44

and marine yes with the headers it would be better but for the people not wanting to spend money on headers due to pain in the ass install and the price, this could be a good alternative and would flow pretty nice!!!

And the price would be what it cost to build and ship, not trying to get rich just trying to help myself and my fellow gxpers out
and if you wanted cutouts still it would be cost of build plus the cutouts and shipping, and you would have the option of bolt on or weld in yourself

Looks like you have it coming from the engine into one pipe then back out into 2. How is this much different then stock?

I think what he was saying is off the headers the two pipes would be close together coming down where the DP is the open back up some

Wait so ur saying both the exhaust manifolds would still connect together right behind the engine

It would come off the manifolds at a v which out transform it into duel right there then continue the duel exhaust all the way to the back the only single part would be at the manifold where it connects

Yes unless I can go ahead and build a cross over pipe that would make it a true true duel exhaust

The only reason why I would like to do the one where they still meet at the back of the motor is because if I did build a true true kit the left exhaust would have a totally different note then the right due to the extended amount of pipe to go, the cross over part then where the exhaust splits ways in the rear of the car it would create a huge differnece in exhaust notes!!!

True dual means the exhaust from each side of headers doesn't meet. If that makes since.
Completely desperate from each other. That area may be why no one does it for the ls4 cause it'd be hard

Sorry dual, and in the ordinal post I said okay almost true dual lol, I could build a kit to do a true dual but the exhaust tone would be stupidly different like I stated above lol

There is zero point in seperating the pipes so far forward. You aren't going to gain anything but weight. Stick with a single pipe back to before the rear axle then go into a single in dual out muffler.
