    Whats up everyone,
I have owned a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 2 door coupe with a 3.8L Naturally Aspirated engine for about a month now. I'm looking to customize but I have no idea what I would like to do with it. It's all white which makes it kind of hard for me to come up with ideas, plus the interior is tan. I also would like tips on improving performance if possible. I know I'm asking for a lot but please help me! lol

Welcome...Start with the basics, oil change, plugs, wires, tran fluid and filter..post some pics thru a photobucket account, everybody will make suggestions after they see your ride. Usually it's keep it clean, de-badge(free), tint and lower($$) for apperance.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I will be posting pics up as soon as it stops raining here. I will be working on the plugs and wires this weekend I just don't know which ones would be best. I read somewhere that they have to be iridium which is fine but then I read somewhere else that platinum works just fine. I'm just not sure which ones to go with.

The person that owned the car before me took it to a corner place and put cheap plugs in my 3.8, I'm switching to AC Delco Iridiums as soon as this weather lets up.

I think thats what my problem is. I'm looking to put some ngk iridiums in this weekend if the weather allows. Have you had luck with AC Delco? I saw some that looked pretty good but I never used them I always had NGK in my previous car.

Well the AC Delco's are what came in the car, and they can still look good even after 120,000 miles. I would definitely go with Iridiums in my N/A 3.8, but I'm not sure which Iridium is really thought to be the best (AC Delco, Bosch, NGK, etc.) Not an expert, I'm sure some other people on the forums have more experience in that.

You are welcome for the link. I knew the GP had a following but I had no idea it was so huge. I have a 1995 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo and thatI drive mostly in the summer. But With the new GP coming tomorrow I might just end up parking it this summer.

It's a fun fun car and fast. It the Twin Turbo too. and a pretty rare as well it's 1 of 14 Dark Blue Pearl with Charcoal Grey interior.
I beat the crap out of a Iroc Z last fall on the highway. LOL He rolled up on me, matching my speed , I looked over and saw Iroc Z on the door and knew what he wanted. Dropped it from 6th to 5th , he pulled ahead by about 1 car length and the I said "Oh Hell No! Dropped into 4th and floored it and left him waaaaayyy behind. LOL I don't think he knew what he rolled up on,

NGK, Autolite, And Delco plugs perform identically and are the same price at the parts store.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
