Well, you know, I'm just another one of those guys looking for an excuse to buy tools..and yep.. that was the bottom end of the motor from the rusted car with the studs / cam / timing chain installed. The other motors in the the background are a 427 BBC that I build for a now long gone 75 vette (motor is for sale on Austin C-list if it didn't expire), and a nice 383 solid roller SBC that is going into a 68 chevelle drag car. The 383 was pro built and came with the car.
Since I'm running a 3.0 pulley.. I've noticed the belt is slipping at higher engine speeds.. I like less complex solutions (as long as the expense is not that much more).. is is better to put a larger crank pulley on and go with a larger supercharger pulley, or add another idler pulley like i've seen to get more grip around the existing one? Maybe moot for now, as I'm on the hunt for a zzp 3.4 and/or 3.2 for warmer weather use.
Thanks again,
