Just bought myself a 1997 gtp sedan with 207000km, already ditched stock air box and put a cheapo ebay $40 intake on, also ordered the ZZP 3.4 pulley and pulley remover as well hope to get before weeks end. Also buying a good running 1999 GTP coupe for $250 as project to rebuild since it needs some work but actually in good shape. The cars aren't dedicated daily drivers but as toys and the love of the supercharger whine.
Definitely looking forward to learning more from the forum

Plan on headers in the near future, I run 94 octane as of now, plan on doing a complete over haul on the 99gtp engine, with all the good parts. The 3.4 pulley create a lot of unreliability with a stock engine? I was debating the 3.5 but the 3.4 sounded better lol

Boom would be interesting to see happen lol

What you guys recommend for headers since they seem to be fairly cheap for the GTP's, I'm used to seeing $1500 for non coated long tubes so l'm open to buying good stuff

Stock manifolds and downpipe with ubend are super restrictive stock, add more air and say hello KR and chipped pistons.

Read up a little on some modding info and you'll have a pretty good grasp at whats needed to make some decent power while being safe.

I wouldn't overhaul the motor unless you take it to a good machine shop around to do the work

Lots of good machine shops locally thankfully

And bought the headers and only paid $220 for the headers with the offer option

Ordered an overkill PCM tune to go with the headers and 3.4 pulley, now the waiting game to get all the parts in at the same time. Gonna keep the rest of the exhaust stock since V6 engines don't sound good.
On a side note from engine performance I upgraded the radio head unit to a modern JVC with Bluetooth and was gonna use the PAC steering wheel control I got from zzp but didn't like the way it worked so bought an Axxess kit and couldn't be happier with it.

nice quick to it n that was my plan! Did you get your headers already or track them? I ordered mine the 12th n they haven't even shipped cuz they're claiming they're out of stock. Been emailing them back n forth the last few days and still nothing on my tracking. Might wanna make sure on that n if you could let me know! Also did you just order the overkill pcm or email will? I emailed him about a week ago and no reply yet

Well I figured I'm only it it for $800 for performance parts including shipping which is cheap mods for me. I think the radio upgrade was $350 in total which was a need since the factory one was on its last leg.

I did get a tracking # for my headers but then the tracking # was voided a day later after order, I emailed SD for a new tracking # and they said I will get it shortly and that was Monday so I will email them again tomorrow for the tracking # since the headers where in stock and ready to ship when I paid for them. But now I look at the ad they say out of stock which gives me a bad feeling. (Edit: ordered mine on the 12th as well)

I just did the purchase on the overkill website for the PCM since the price was cheap and located in Canada, UPS shipping from the states is brutal. So I will give an update on both of those.

ZZP was an easy good transaction and with quick shipping with USPS

Lol yeah I'm the exact same boat, it was all voided the next day and just trying to get it straightened out because I really want the headers, but if it stays like this I'm gonna order the ssac's. the money has been taken out of my account since the day I ordered them n I'm getting annoyed with them giving me the run around. I got them for 220 also and the ssac'/s are 225 and the same things according to everyone else. I already got my o2 extension, flex, and clamps from zzp as well and all that was smooth. N yeah ik the overkills right in Canada, I just think its better to get it all your mods cuz will can tune it accordingly.

Ya doing all the mods at once is definitely a wise thing to do, but knowing me I will have caught the mod bug bad and be tearing into this engine sooner then later but trying to save that for the other GTP I got lol

Well I sent SD another email regarding my tracking # so see if they can get me a straight answer.

Oh ya also bought spyder headlights with an HID kit, and yup they are junk but they look really good at least lol

Haha right right, yeah I like the spyders, but hear bad things. They look sweet though and might be a little better with hids. Post up some pics on here when you get them installed. I'd like to see them. I have 12k hids and can't see a damn thing, so they're going soon. And keep me posted on the sd thing as well I to you. I'll shoot you a pm or reply back on here n let you know what's up. If it keeps staying like this tho I'm unforunately just getting my money back n getting the ssac do look into them. Here they are..
