Howdy partner
just a hint search bar is at top of page use it alot. i was never told where it was
whats goin on guys, ok so i need advice. im about to buy the zzp s2 intercooler setup , and pacesetter header kit with the zzp pro kit. for the money im about to spend is this a good decision? i just bought the car and it needs to go fast lol
look into the modding your 3800 thread
ive read it over pretty good, i was going to get the s3 phenolic intercooler core but i cant find it anywhere so im leanin towards the s2
and btw thanks for that search bar hint i didnt know where it was lol
I would slow it down a little here.
You might want to invest in a scan gauge or way to tune the car aswell before you just start tossing parts on the car.
Many people have had issue with pacesetter headers, but any header you buy seems too. Speed Daddy headers are alot cheaper and work just as good.
I don't know your knowledge of cars or these motors in general but intercoolers can be quite the pain in the ass to deal with.
i know a decent amount about these cars so far from researching a lot, but yes i do already have an aeroforce scan gauge to constantly read the KR, thats the first thing that i bought after buying the car, ive pretty much got around $1500 right now to spend, and when i sell my other car in a week or two ill have another $2500 or so
Welcome to GPF, start a members ride thread to post all the cool stuff your getting.
Welcome bro. Before buying a ZZP intercooler, unless it's used, it's worthwhile checking out the one made/sold by one of our members, sseilmnop. He's got a thread on here, and was cheaper last I checked.
Welcome bud!
i have seen his on here he makes that phenolic ic core if im correct? i was a little lenient just because i had not really heard any reviews on it, but ya that would be nice to save some money for diff mods instead of spending it all on an intercooler lol
I've seen sseilmnop's core in person and seen it seal up and run nice. As near as I can tell, it will operate as well as one of the bigger vendors... at the very least, it's your "bang for the buck" deal. Even if it ran a couple degrees warmer than ZZP, saving a few hundred leaves you room for some more mods that will increase horsepower more. Last I checked, more than 20 (30?) folks bought them between the forums. Yet to hear a bad review. Up to you, though... the size of an IC does matter, as folks have shown with ZZP's short stack intercooler - it's almost worthless. The sseilmnop is slightly shorter than ZZP, if memory serves. It doesn't seem like enough to upset anyone, though.
